Wow! I didn't know there is 24gb stick around …. thought it's always 2/4/8/16/32/64/128 stick

    • +3

Yeah, I came here to check that out too.

      • +2

Same, I was interested in the comments too.

shrinkflation, these were meant to be 64gb ;)

DDR5 allows non-power-of-two DRAM sizes. So your assumption only changed recently.

      • +2

        Is there any drawbacks?

        Seems an interesting size.

        • +2

the drawback is generally they're priced similarly to 64gb but if u get hynix M die it clocks much much higher, easily into 8000+ mhz

        • +2

No technical drawbacks to my knowledge.

    wait what 24gb

There seems to be some confusion.
DRAM manufacturers have started producing 24Gbit (3GB) chips because it's getting harder and harder to double the capacity of RAM as silicon reaches its limits.
8 of these on a DIMM (single rank) produces a 24GB stick and 16 of them (dual rank) produces a 48GB stick.

    Not fast enough no RGB

    • +2

      RGB 🤡🤡

    • +2

I'm in the process of building a vomit inducing ARGB build. Need that sweet sweet rgb

    • +1

Yeah I got a set of 4 x 16GB off these but the DDR4-6000 speed (CL30 I think), they go good. Just running at 6000MHz at the moment.

No RGB crap, just RAM for my workstation. This ain’t a kids play centre.

Expired? Show up as $279 for me

  • oos from amazon us now, back to $279

  • linus "leaked" the 24gb ddr5 mem modules at the source factory

  • +1

    1.4V stock XMP. Damn

  • Are 24GB sticks a thing now?

    What happen to standard 4,8,16,32,64

    • yeah, when you can't afford a 32 or 64… XD
