  • Maybe only available in store

  • The Cygnett button is a re-branded Sonoff device with slightly different plastics - can confirm it works well with Z2MQTT and ZHA.

    • Cygnet button feels 100 times better than the Sonoff. I have both working with ZHA and home assistant

  • The Tradfri dimmer switch is a good alternative at $12 to the button in this deal with two usable physical buttons instead of the one on this deal, effectively doubling the number of actions you can assign.

I have finicky issues with mine disconnecting occasionally. Don't pair well with some bulbs especially Philips hue via ZHA. Work well with IKEA bulbs

not really, that ikea switch you can only program 2 actions on it, the cygnet toggle type I believe most have at least 3 programmable action on Home Assistant (single, double, triple), some can even do long press.

    • I had significant issues with Ikea buttons (all kinds) - they went flat in a few days at first, though there's now a firmware upgrade for that. Then as reported elsewhere they also lose connection frequently. I replaced them with Xiaomi buttons and only had to repair once in the past six months or so. But other users have a great experience with Ikea buttons.

      • Fortunately mine last more than a few days but no where near as long as my Xiaomi or Aqara buttons. Over the long term IKEA will probably cost more to run outweighing potential upfront savings. I've read that the problem is reduced or less for MQ2TT users

The IR controller is a device that connects to WiFi and works like a universal remote for devices controlled by IR remote controls - for example, TVs, DVD players, air conditioners. It can be operated by a smartphone, or home automation system.

The Smart button is just a remote button that can be used to trigger a home automation system to perform predetermined actions. Mine is set up to switch on soft lighting in my bedroom, and also adjusts the ceiling fan speed. It needs a Zigbee hub to be functional.
