  • Good Evening all. Noob here…can someone explain how the Citi reward points work for business booking? I have about 540K Citi points- so how do i book flights/business?

    • You will need to convert them to airline points first.

      • Thanks mate. I assume and then i purchase award flights via that particular airline? What is the best airline to book these flights with any idea? Are they available to book straightaway?

  • Can someone please advise how the bank handles the request for credit limit when applying for a credit card. In my case I'm looking at getting the citi premier card which has a minimum credit limit of $10k. I would like to get the card with a limit of $20k (to make the most of payall). If I ask for $20k and they think that is too much for me, will they choose the appropriate limit to suit my conditions, or will they decline the application ?
Or am I safer to ask them to assign the limit ?

    • They will calculate your ability to repay with X amount when you apply. Regardless X is the minimum or whatever you requested.

Some banks, i think i saw at CommBank, can tell what the max amount i can get based what i put in the application. But that just the computerised estimation and will be decided by the approval team later.

  • Thank you

Has anyone manage to get the bonus from both the Prestige and Premier cards?

  • waiting for Nov to see if 2% charge for existing recurring PayAll, which was setup in early this year.

    • +1

Any recurring Citi PayAll payments set up between April 2021 and October 2023 will not incur the Citi PayAll fee for the duration in which those payments are scheduled to occur.

Terms are clear to me, I took screenshot of this https://www1.citibank.com.au/credit-cards/fees-and-charges.

      • I hope so.

"for the duration in which those payments are scheduled to occur."

For example, I setup in March 2023.
The duration is for scheduled to occur from Mar 2023 to Feb 2025.

Is it back to English lesson?

  • Smart - i’ve saved a time stamped pdf of this page too to use in the likely fight when they try and reneg!

    • How do you save a time stamped version?

      • Save as PDF (on Mac at least) shows date and time at bottom of each page

  • Do they have a website to book the hotel offer on, or is it only via phone?

  • Surprisingly, I was approved with an income well under $150,000…

Also previously held NAB and Kogan CC this year. Currently holding CBA and AMEX CC.

    • I believe they have removed the $150K min income since previous deal

    • Do you have mortgage? Can I know what's the total cc card limit you have before applying? I would like to know whether should I close some of my cc card before applying.

  • Just signed up for this card and read PayAll doesn't count for minimum spend?

Can anyone confirm if this is true? If so I'm going to have a fun time hitting $10k in 3 months…

    • Where did you read this?

      • Page 2 of this thread, supposedly two people spoke to reps who said this.

        • +1

There is a discrepancy between what actually happens vs what the reps have been saying for a while regarding this issue.

I signed up in Feb and have been able to use Payall to meet my minimum spend.

          • @CodeXD: Thanks @CodeXD - good to know. Hope so otherwise I have some big purchases to make over the next few months lol

  • Received the 275k points with payall transaction.

    • How long did it take to recieve the points?

      • Like 2 or 3 days after the first statement.

      • Same like Zacsik said.

  • +1

Anyone tried to schedule the payall for next a few years?

the latest start date I can choose is 10 Dec 2023

    • Other people including myself saw this and commented here
I luckily scheduled it in time.

  • is it worth it to get this card now? I am with amex explorer but thinking of canceling the Amex one and change to this.

It really is dependant on you and your needs tbh. I too had the Amex Explorer but found the acceptance rate of Amex + annoying conditions to utilise the annual travel credit to be too much hassle. Citi Prestige does still arguably get its annual fee value via its perks which atm is primarily the unlimited Priority Pass access for primary cardholder and 1 guest which is at least USD $469 (AUD $735). I say at least because the USD $469 subscription only provides unlimited PP access for the subscriber and you must still pay USD $35 per guest entry, so the Citibank Prestige PP is already better value than that. Coupled with other perks like 4th free night in a hotel (roughly around AUD $100-300 depending on your hotel) and the complimentary chauffer trip per year (up to AUD $100) plus fre travel insurance, the perks do add up, however whether you utilise all these perks to maximise their value is really up to you.

There is a way currently with Citi Payall to maximise the points you can earn which from memory nets you more than the annual fee in terms of total $ value of the points you can earn so at least for now, I'd definitely say it's still worth it.

  • Can anyone confirm whether paying for bills like strata via DEFT earns Citi bank points?

  • How did you calculate $1,500 in gift cards? A $500 Coles/Amazon/Apple is 104,200 points.
So that would be about $1,320 with 275,000 points?

    • It's a 1-1 transfer to Flybuys. 275000 points, plus the 10000 from meeting the minimum spend is $1425 Flybuys dollars.

Still not quite $1500, but I'm guessing some branded cards are discounted in the Citi rewards store?

      • Ah okay. I didn't know about Flybuys. Cheers

        • The description was copied from the previous deal when it was 300000 points. That's why it's off.

      • How doyou opt for flybuy points

  • I just got my first statement, and the 275000 bonus points haven't arrived yet. I've spent slightly under $10k, but have done almost $30k payall. The statement shows 6400 base points and 33500 bonus points, which has me worried that only $6.4k of spend has gone toward the $10k requirement.

The missing $3k of spend seems to be shire rates, which I guessed wouldn't count, and car insurance which I thought would have counted.

But from the seperation of base and bonus points, perhaps payall doesn't count to minimum spend anymore?

For those that had it count, are the points listed separately and did you get the 275000 points in the first statement?

Edit: looks like the bonus points may arrive in the next couple of days

    • Almost 30k in payall? Thought there is only 20k limit.

      • The limit is per calendar month.

    • Yes, check in your app few days the after statement date

      • Yep, they've arrived :)

Is there any gross income criteria on applying for the card currently and if there is any differences between applying online and applying with calling?

I have had some bad experience with Citi got rejected later I applied for Westpac black altitude but got approved ; (

  • Posted this in the forum but thought I would do it here since it's more targeted

I've been quoted an amount outside of what's in the terms and conditions since they have to upgrade the car.

When I asked them about this, they've said the terms and conditions haven't been updated to reflect it. The thing is the terms and conditions were recently updated and new rates were meant to be from 1 June. They also sent through Hughes website to show that only the upgrade will fit 4 people despite the citibank terms and conditions.

What should I do? Legally shouldn't the terms and conditions be honoured?

'Please note for the Luxury Transfer Service, the
kilometre rates have been updated and are effective 1 June – 31 December 2023. This means any luxury
transfers from 1 June 2023 will be subject to the new rates as outlined below.'

  • Just got it time to see if it works
