I've got a $7 2 piece combo and Mousse offered instead.

    • +4

      Likewise

      Grim offering

    • +2

      Same. Sad.

    • +3

I think they don't like you.

    • +1

      Me too

  • +1

    got the $9 3 pcs box :'(

i also noticed $8 for 8 wicked wings is back in my app too, might jump on that instead

    • +1

      I can't find it

    • +2

I wish I had either of them. I need Dinner tonight. ;)

  • last time i got 9, full of tiny crappy pieces

    • +4

You can ask for no wings or no drumsticks… worked for me in the past.

      • +2

How would you request this on the app though

        • -3

I don't use the app, I go into the joint so i get some real sized pieces

.. not ones that are still coming out of the egg. Last drumstick I had looked the size of the wing 'drumlet' bit.

          • +4

@pharkurnell: This an app/online-only offer though.

            • @zaphy: You can still order on the app and then go in to store as pickup. When you order, it asks if you are there. You say yes and then speak to the person behind counter who picks your order. You definitely get better product in store than via drive thru.

      • Can you ask for only drumsticks or only breasts?

        • +1

          Breast is best

        • not a fan of drums or wings… anything else is fine.

          YMMV

    • +1

I did the 4 pieces for $7.45 hack a few nights ago, then doubled it to 8 pieces, but only got 7. Really annoying after you plan 2 pieces per person because you didn't want to cook that night, drive 20km round trip to pick it up because they don't deliver in your area (even though I still get every advertisement on my phone promoting delivery), then find you still have to cook because you're missing a piece.

      • +1

Wow personally wouldn't be doing a 20km round trip just for KFC 😝

        • Yeah you would if you were sick of cooking and lived where I do because everything is at least 20km away. ;-)

KFC, McDonalds, Dominos, ALDI, Colesworths, Kmart, Harvey Norman (not that I'll ever buy there again), bowling club… Hungry Jacks is worse at 40km away. Red Rooster 48km. BigW & Officeworks 50km. Pizza hut 53. The others typically found in shopping centres like Nandos, Grilled, etc are 53km too. So it's either KFC or still cook when you don't want to cook. Cook, cook, cook… sorry got stuck there for a sec.

      • +1

No surprise they don't deliver if you are 20km away from the store.

        • Sure, but why pop notifications up on my phone every few days, and emails, promoting delivery specials.

      • I once hacked to order 8 pieces instead they gave me only 8 tenders saying it was a glitch in their apps. KFC don’t honor their order on technicality. Watch out.

        • -1

Yeah it was never really a "hack" and all stores know it. Because KFC finally made a (half-azzed) attempt at removing it. i.e. It's been in place for years while KFC had no problem changing the app in many other ways over that same time. So that franchisee is just being petty - lying or told his staff to lie, because he doesn't like he's "missing out" on a couple of $. If he kept that up he'd be missing out on even more because I wouldn't buy anything at all due to being unable to know when he'd honor things and when he'd "cheat" me.

Actually, no… I'd contact KFC on Facebook, explain what happened and how the store changed the order to a different item to suit themselves after taking payment for another item I placed and paid for, then say something like, "Look I know a store can CLAIM it's a "hack" but let's get real here, it was never a secret, it's been posted in public forums as being in the app for YEARS, KFC either did it deliberately or at least knew about it but deliberately choose to keep it that way upon discovery, because the app has been updated in various other ways MANY times over that same period. KFC even coded this "hack" into the NEW app which was coded from the ground up. So it's obvious KFC knew it was there and wanted to keep it that way. You guys even do a second form of "hack" in the Secret Menu. I shouldn't be punished for order from the Secret Menu, nor the so-called "glitch" which has been deliberately retained in the new app. So will that store start claiming the Secret Menu items are a "glitch" too, replace them with a lesser value product because they don't think I should get them!? Also, this is the first store that's refused to honor it, who changed my order not because the pieces weren't available, but I guess because they didn't like me utilizing it. I don't understand how KFC can allow one "franchise" to do whatever it likes independently of every other franchise. Isn't uniformity the whole point… people can order at any KFC and get the same experience!?"

I've complained about things like that before and got free credit. They ask for your name and phone number and require the store manager to phone you, apologize, and give you a discount code. You place your next order the counter or speaker, give them that code, and it comes off the order total. The amount of credit I most often get is $10 but I have received double that too. I don't cheat the system though - I only speak up when they genuinely get it wrong. They're a franchise for goodness sake, they were the ones silly enough to pay tens thousands (maybe hundreds of thousands) so they shouldn't get to just change things as they like.

Personally I would never buy a franchise, so I see my complaints and resulting credits as an "education tax." If they want to "do it differently" they shouldn't have locked themselves into a franchise. If a food place makes a good product they'll always make money and won't have to pay $$$ before they've even bought the food. e.g. Where I used to live the pizza store changed brands several times, going through all the franchises like Eagle Boys, Dominos, Porkies Pizza, and now it's some independent name I forget, but I've never seen less people in there than when it was Dominos. So these rebel KFC owners could have done the same. Made their own recipe, products, app… So they fully deserve my "non-compliance tax." ;-D

  • +3

I hit it on all 10 of my accounts, going to buy kfc and freeze it for the cold war

    • how u create so many accounts? Do you need different phone numbers for each??

      • Make up a phone number. Works for HJ

        • When you log into kfc account, they send verification code to your mobile phone number. What happens then?

          • +1

            @CodeXD: guess

          • @CodeXD: Only need the one number @Homr

            • +1

@MiscOzB: KFC changed it so you need a unique number per new account.

              • @CodeXD: Oh wow, lucky I made a heap a while back then, same number still works for logging in to each of them too. Macca's did something similar recently, can no longer log in to any of my gmail address accounts with "+" in them, have to replace them all which I will with Boost sims (you could do the same to make KFC accounts and then change the phone number in account settings after if possible).

  • +2

Nothing in my account at all :(

    • I got nothing on 1, $15 nugget feast on 1 and 6 wicked wings and chips $5 on the other.

  • +1

I had KFC for the first time in australia this week and I find the chicken to be quite bad…

    • +2

Where are you comparing to? 🤔

      • its normally pretty bad but we like chicken and dont have alot of options so most people dont know any better

      • north american kfc from what I remember… even asia KFC (which I know asia fast food tends to gather more praise)
chicken tasted slightly burnt, not the golden brown like i remember or the picture

        • That's odd. My friend recently came back from a trip to S Korea and he said that the KFC there was worse than what you get here.

          • @OzBarAnon: my last asia KFC was like 10 years ago but fast food chains lilke mcdonalds were always a small step up from my experience.

        • +1

I've always heard that North American KFC is terrible while KFC in Aus is one of the better fast-food places 🤔

    • -1

Korean fried chicken is where it's at in my opinion

      • +1

        The superior KFC!

      • +6

Yeah but they charge like $30+ for a chopped up tiny chicken it’s a rip , delicious but so over priced

        • +1

You're not wrong, but it is bloody delicious

      • So expensive for fried chicken.

    • have found KFC in Queensland to be far superior to KFC in WA.

  • Why not KFC bring back the 9 Piece

  • +1

    Woohoo! Thanks OPEEEEE…

It appeared on one of my accounts and checked it out right away and will pick it up later after work. 🍽️

  • +4

First time receiving targeted deal from KfC lol

    • +1

Same! Every other time I've missed out.

  • +1

    $5 wings 'n chips.

  • +1

Not sure if they have changed the recipe but the pieces these days are awful. They used to be nice and crunchy. Whenever I get them now they are slimy and gross.

  • +1

Don't KFC realize they're just limiting their own earning potential by artificially targetting specific deals to specific people? If I don't get a deal I want, I'm not going to then buy another deal I don't want, simply because I'm already in their app. I'll just buy a burger from Hungry Jacks, or McDonald's. Whoever sold the idea of targetting deals to the executives is a moron. Whoever authorised it is an even bigger moron.

  • i've got this deal, but not the 30 nuggets for $10

    • They care about your cholesterol.

    • +1

      this deal is better

  • +1

    yum

    • +1

      Sure!

    • +1

Only some are owned by yum

      • the ones owned by yum suck! Collins does hot n spicy all year round!

        • I wish mine was owned by Collins :(

  • +4

I got this deal and the chick in the drive thru was really suss and interrogated me on how I was able to get the deal

  • +1

$7 two piece combo and mousse.

  • +2

In Brisbane Southside - Annerley KFC has closed online orders, and Greenslopes has their chicken pieces “unavailable”. I would say this isn’t a coincidence.

  • +3

Lol I find all these KFC posts funny, they're basically every targeted deal and all the comments are about how this deal [i.e. the deal in the post they're replying to] is the best one and the other deals suck lol.

I got this one on my account and I reckon it's pretty good value.

    • +1

I got this one too, but we are trying to be good. Damn you, kfc

      • Haha true. Might grab this for Friday night dinner.

  • Thanks mate! I got the deal.
