I can't get the coupon code box to appear on the cart or checkout screen. Any ideas?

    • +1

      same here

  • I <3 the book depository :)

    • although too bad the code doesn't work >:/

I think this is a unique code specific for the OP

    • Now that I've clicked on the link, I think you are correct. It definitely says one voucher per person. Bummer!

  • I received this offer in an email - clicked on the link - and still can't get the coupon code box to appear.

    • Oh hang on mine was bookdepository.com

      • Link was wrong on my email. Received this today:
Dear Customer, we're terribly sorry, the previous email we sent may have contained a non-working link - just the opposite experience we wanted to give customers that we want to win back. The email below has been fixed.

I now have a code and the coupon code box has magically appeared.

  • Coupon input is at the top of the cart for me… and yes code is unique.

  • +1

It does look to be unique. Anyone is free to use mine.
    Code: YKQKLL

  • Ahh, I always have bad timing.

  • +5

Unique code. If someone gets it to work, with instructions that I can duplicate (I have books to buy), I'll happily revoke the neg.

  • Contacted them and they said there were no active coupons…

  • Just read on Twitter that the coupons are only for specific people =/

    • :/ Dang

  • +1

But if that's the case. How long do you not have to make a purchase before they send you this email…Thinks of strategic buying seasons =.D

    • Annoying really. If you're a regular customer, buy at full price. Don't use them often? Here, have 10% off.

I love BookDep anyway, but this sort of attitude towards marketing shits me.

edit: Vouchers are non transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. sorry

Managed to get 32 +ve on a code no one can use. That's impressive.

    • http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/56005 got 52, my neg of it got removed and I had a wee argument with someone who wanted my single-use coupons.

      Fun times. :)

    • Yep. It means at least 32 people clicked like without attempting to buy anything, and no one who did was disappointed enough to neg. But I can see why: who doesn't love bookdepository?

I love it too, but neg just so people on the front page are aware this particular one isn't a deal.

I also got a code…. it's a We Miss You email - and poem made to give you warm fuzzies until you realise everyone got the same one:

In former days with us you shopped,
      but something happened and
      we've been dropped.
What did we do, what did we say,
what was it made you go away!?

We're oh so sad, but shall not rest
till you come back to our bookish nest.
What can we do, what can we say,
to win you back and make you stay?

In former days with us you shopped,
      but something happened and
      we were dropped.
To get you back, we thought: a gesture!
      So how's about a money-off voucher?

We know our poems are not so hot,
but rhymes and puns aren't all we've got.
Our offer is genuine, the price reduction true,
So, please come back — we really miss you!

      • thats awesome haha

Not intending on using mine so go for it:

  • I got a code. The code came from BookDespository.com. Do I need to use is at .com or can I use or at .co.uk?

    • My understanding is that Bookdepository.com and .co.uk has separate system (like amazon.com / amazon.com.it). Therefore, in your case you will have to use .com.

If you use this affiliate link for bookdepository.com: http://www.bookdepository.com/?a_aid=urbanbookreview . bonate.org will make the same donation (2% of your purchsase) as well.

  • If anyone doesn't want their code I'd be grateful to have it! :)

    • Same… PM me if you have a spare code. I was going to use this deal later til I just read all the comments :(

    • +1

Did you get one yet? I have a spare.

      • no i didnt yet Modokun! would come in very handy for me right now if you could spare one

    • I would be also very gratful if someone had a spare cuopon! Thanks a lot! :)
