Isn’t delivery $133 on this though?

      • +1

It is free delivery for me, I am in Sydney.

      What's the $100 off code?

      • It's in hunta's link.

    • which code are you using?

      • SNSMD5ZKN*******

        • must be a targetted code, not getting it

          • @jar-unit: Was there for me 3+ hours ago, now not showing under the item.

Alternatively, get JB to price match.

OP should have added all links to same post with cheapest in the title. Easy for others and doesn't crowd the feed. Just my 2c.

    • Sorry mate, kind of new to posting deals.

I thought that separate links were appropriate given they were from different vendors.

      • +1

After re-reading my comments, it seems bit harsh, oops. Nothing wrong you did, I just thought that way as some get free shipping according to location so better for wider area.
        Sorry.

All good. Happy for guidance to make keeping some $ in our pocket a little easier :-)

  • +1

Good price. I paid 1276 a few ago from the good guys and happy with the sound quality. No issue with rear speaker dropouts which were reported on some 990b models.

I got lucky and got a 200 prepaid credit card from TGG as someone must have challenged their advertising, as they sent everyone $200 back for some unclear wording. So $1076 was pretty good.

    • What was the email subject?

Q800c appears to be a pretty good price too - $690

  • Are these better than Bose? Sorry I am new to speakers

    • +2

Yes. These are recognised as the best soundbar available on the market.

      • I've always found the samsung firmware on their soundbars to be glitchy as hell (freezing when trying to turn off/change input, randomly getting stuck when you turn bluetooth on, not always turning on/off with arc) and samsung seldom support it with bugfixes very long. Maybe that's just for the lower end models though.

    • I like my Bose

  • BuySmarte is selling for $1265 delivered to Melbourne.

    Previously 1099 Samsung EPP

Still waiting for that magic $1000 figure or 1099 with gift cards.

    • Bought it from that deal, delivery of the soundbar was within 3 weeks of buying it. Amazing system, no wonder it's commonly recognised amongst the best of the best.

  • Is this compatible with LG TV?

    • For the most part, Yes!

    • I have it (previous model Q950A) with Sony and works fine no issue.

    • +1

I have mine setup with a LG C1, works perfectly only thing you'll miss out on is Q-Symphony, where the soundbar system syncs audio with select Samsung TVs, allowing the TV's speakers to act as extra channels. Since you're mixing discrete speakers with terrible inbuilt TV speakers, the final outcome is not very good from reviews I've read. All in all not missing out on much, if you're not pairing with a Samsung TV.

      • I have the Q930 paired with a S95b OLED TV. The TV's sounds are pretty good for a TV. The sound quality dramatically improves with this. Maybe it depends on the TV.

If you have a Samsung TV, I think this alone is enough to swing towards this sound bar. (On the other hand coming from an LG OLED, I don't like the OS/navigation or the remote of the Samsung TV)

    • Got the Q930C just recently for $920 and it works perfectly with my LG C9. Absolutely no issues whatsoever with LPCM 7.1 bitstream passthrough from the PS5 or TrueHD 7.1 Atmos from my Nvidia Shield, very happy with it

  • Curious to know how this compares to last year's 990b. I have the last year's model and they look similar.

  • I am starting to find all these different samsung 9XX models very confusing. They seem to have so many of them. I already have 2 different 9xx models. Curious what the changes on the newer ones are.

  • I don't understand why someone would buy this instead of studio monitors and a cheap interface

    • +1

Can't achieve the same level of immersion with 2.0 studio monitors.

I went to Good guys the other day - they offered $AUD 1165 for this without much negotiation. Bought it last week. Was not sure I could post it as a deal as there was no "official" announcement

    • Interesting… appears to be a lot of flex in the price if that's the case!

Are you sure it was the 990C? TGG website currently have the 930B @ $1194 and the 990C @ $1492 (down from $1999).

      • Sure is ..1165 to be accurate - just checked my invoice .. Bought on Date:16-07-2023. Good Guys Blacktown NSW

        HW-Q990C/XY

  • Looking for some help… Advice appreciated
Do I go for this and annoy my wife because the living room is now 'ugly' with the 2 satellite speakers on either side of the couch.
    or
Is a soundbar without the satellite speakers good enough?

Room size is 4.5x3.5. Main use movies and gaming (if i get time)

I managed to pick one up at jb hifi for $950 and stacked it with the 15% extra credit ultimate gift cards. Bringing it down to a total of $826 and yes this was the newer q990c model.

    • +1

      Wow. That's a steal.

    • Yikes, that's got to be a new record for this unit. Any chance you can upload the receipt? Thanks so so much. You're a pro. That would be a half decent price even for the q930c.

  • +2

i wish you luck in getting this price matched https://www.dropbox.com/s/lwe7ybote75naed/jb%20reciept.png?d…

    • Can you please tell us from which JB hifi store?

    • It says bundle. Did you purchase along with tv?

      • I purchased a robot vacuum aswell but that wasnt part of the bundle as such was added on after buying the soundbar.

        • So I need a robot vacuum and a soundbar… Any tips? Or they just gave you a good price

    • +1

In-store, the JB HiFi sales agent rejected the price match by saying it was not a complete receipt. The receipt needs to show the total amount paid etc…
Then I tried an online price match and got it for $1075 + delivery.

      • Excellent deal! I applaud and respect your efforts!

  • +2

Thank you! Ended up getting it for $1188 plus had $310 worth of vouchers to use. Upgrading from an old Logitech system that’s 15 years old.

  • Still no HDMI 2.1 Pass Through / 4K@120hz

Keep this in mind if you have a XBOX Series X or anything else that is 4k@120hz

  • +2

I got this for $1140 from good guys after price match/beating. It was pick up but the salesman made it sound like it was okay for delivery too.

    • Refunded mine and did this - i got it for 1148. Cheers:)

Went to JB this morning to have a listen and asked to price beat, JB would only price match Appliance Central $1,186. Rang TGG 1300 number and they offered $1,148, too easy.

  • The power cords for the rear speakers are too short. Does anyone have a link for longer power cords?
