  • Does anyone have any recommendations on affordable pod machines? I know very little about coffee, just wanting a very basic one that takes the nespresso pods because they seem to be the most common sort.

  • How do you get the Amex offer?

    • I have the same question. I guess it might be Targeted since its not on my Amex.

  • FWIW the offer on my Amex Plat Edge is Spend $120 get $20 so I have to go to the $160 get $30 tier to get the Amex benefit :-(

      • Yep that's literally exactly what I purchased yesterday :-) However, they had no stock for any kind of delivery, but oddly, was OK for click and collect. My Amex offer ends today so couldn't wait for them to be back in stock.

  • Just a cautionary tale for others if it helps: I just purchased 24 sleeves from Nespresso to take advantage of their offer and when we opened the box, we found 11 of the sleeves had 'best before' dates that would expire within a month. They were manufactured 348 days ago, and it is not possible for us to drink all the coffee within the expiry period.

I contacted Nespresso online and they said that the coffee was safe to drink after the best before date, and the best they could offer in compensation was a single replacement sleeve.

I also noticed that the new pods they are producing now have 15 month best before dates, up from 12 months previously…
