Great deal, but waiting for the same but with the universal version

Same. I don't mind using multiple large chargers at home, it's while travelling where the size and number of chargers matters most.

    What's the universal version?

The Zyron rep has mentioned in a few posts that there's a new version of their chargers coming in a month or 2 (with an improved GAN chip) that don't have the AU plug permanently attached - I believe they'll have a 2 pin IEC connector so you can connect a cable for whichever country you're in.

Given that most of us don't travel that much, the real value is NOT having a powerboard with a big charger sticking directly out of it - it will make the cables a lot tidier, and the thing won't keep tipping over. Hopefully it won't buzz either like this model does.

      • I already have a similar version to what you are describing, except its 100W. Ports are the same (3 x C, 1 x A) with 2 pin detachable power cable.

Can't see it on amazon or the Zyron site any more though.

I have 3 of these and they've been great. I'm waiting for the universal one too for travel.

  • Waiting for non-GaN version

    • Why non-Gan? I thought that would make them bigger and heavier?

    Unlimited powa…stone

  • These units are amazing, using one on a daily basis for work for 2 straight weeks now and no issues at all. Highly recommended for anyone looking to replace their laptop and phone charger all in one to save weight and space on your work bag especially if you travel as much as I do on a daily basis.

Ill be buying another two if they release a changeable adapter version

for people looking for a 120W universal, they sell a 140W universal on their website that does 3xUSB-C, and a 100W universal that is 3xUSB-C + 1xUSB-A. The 100W is $55 at the moment.

My 65W universal Zyron has been a solid performer. Heymix does a 120W 3xUSB-C + 1xUSB-A that I've been using for travel for a long time and it has performed well so far (no blowing up or catching on fire, as someone always comments). I think it was the extra 20W and being on Amazon at the right price that tipped the scale towards the heymix when I wanted a 100W+ 4xUSB port charger

  • Will this charger stop charging briefly when another device is plugged in? I want to use this for a wifi router while travelling staying in hotels and don't want my router to reboot during this.

    • I get the impression they all do this, yes, if they've got multiple ports that have dynamically adjustable output. Try a passthough powerbank inline with it?

  • Sounds like it's worth waiting to see about their universal version.. Meanwhile just going to mention that the Toocki 140w version is still around for strikingly low price of $50 on aliexpress - pluses: detachable fig 8 (IEC) cable, can use all 5 ports: 65,30,20,12,12w. Negs: does max 100w PD despite being 140w total.

    • The $51 Toocki is a bit larger to go with the larger 140w capacity - 79x85x30. This version has a US cord but you could save that and use one for Oz or wherever you go. I do not have one, just looking at this as a possible travel option..

  • Zyron are a pain to deal with. My powerpod charger just stopped working after 12 months, and they refuse to replace it saying that warranty expired (disregarding Australian Consumer Law and the advertisement of "2 years limited warranty" on their website.
    Cannot recommend less. Avoid Zyron!

    • Did you buy it through Amazon? If so I would raise it with them.

      • Unfortunately not, bought directly via their website to "support an Aussie business".

Powerpod 66 comes with 12 months warranty listed on the product page. There is no disregarding and Australian law. We offer replacement for it up to 15 months max.

      • So when purchasing the product, the Australian consumer can expect to throw away the product after 12-15 months?
I believe that's a major fault in the product! Will get back to your team soon.
