Fanatec CSL DD 5Nm $335.90, 8Nm $510.80 + Delivery - Only When Purchased with Fanatec Steering Wheel + Pedals @ Fanatec

550

Seems Fanatec are continuing with their cheap "Ready2Race" bundles, But now have dramatically increased the flexibility so you don't have purchase an extra wheel separately.

The best value combination in my opinion is replacing the entry DD wheel with the McLaren Starter Wheel for open wheel/GT3 Racing for $815.7 + Delivery: https://fanatec.com/au-en/ready-to-race/csl-dd-mclaren-start…

Other combinations include:

CSL DD Ready2Race F1 Esports Bundle for PC $965.75 + Del: https://fanatec.com/au-en/ready-to-race/csl-dd-f1-esports-st…
CSL DD Ready2Race F1 Esports Premium Bundle for PC (8 Nm + Load Cell) $1299 + Del: https://fanatec.com/au-en/ready-to-race/csl-dd-f1-esports-pr…

Happy Racing!

  • Had my GT DD Pro 8nm since Nov22. Just enough FF to enjoy most Sims. Finding a cheap cockpit is a lot harder

  • +1 on the McLaren GT3 wheel, it's great for games like ACC and F1. The 8 Nm kit is worth it

Why the need for stronger force feedback? Doesn't that just increase the risk of accidentally damaging your hands and/or wrists? One quick web search and you'll discover a plethora of injuries needing hospitalisation due to these steering force feedback systems.

5Nm sounds like a no-brainer to me. Remember, it's supposed to be a game and therefore safe. If you want dangerous, consider putting your life at risk by racing around a real race track.

8 Nm is barely scratching the surface…high end wheel bases go above 20Nm, and thats where you see those silly youtube videos "Let's play this with FF set to 100%" and risk injury

8 Nm is very playable and not too strong at all. With stronger feedback comes more detail and realism

  • So if I want a setup that is compatible with PS5, Xbox and PC, which combo do I get?

    • +1

Compatibility is different for each console, and is as follows:

      PC: Everything is compatible
PlayStation: You must have a compatible base. The wheel does not matter as it connects to the base
Xbox: You must have a compatible wheel. The base does not matter.

Therefore, if you want compatibility with all platforms, you'll need to get a DD Pro base and an Xbox compatible wheel such as the McLaren Gt3 Wheel.

      • Thanks!
