    Is this how it works?

    • Log into Shopback
    • click on the Tripadvisor link
    • find XYZ hotel on tripadvisor, takes you to booking.com
    • book hotel
    • booking.com receives commission from XYZ hotel, who then passes on some of the commission to tripadvisor, who then passes on some of the commission to Shopback, who then passes on some of the commission to you?

    Just noticed it states the following: Book an Experience with TripAdvisor (Things to Do) … so not sure if that applies to Hotels… the link from Shopback gets you to "Things to do" not to the generic TripAdvisor page….

      Been trying to book a hotel through Tripadvisor also with an increased cashback. The best deal is through Agoda but it rejects once im on the Agoda website. Likely applies to experiences directly through tripadvisor and not hotels? I get better hotel rates when search through Tripadvisor which passes me through to Agoda rather than Agoda directly. Any ideas?

      To @suti1's point above - This is what I'm confused about as well. Tripadvisor don't handle your money, so it's a 3rd party that takes the booking but the cash back is from TA? I've just booked something through this so here's hoping it all links up.
      Also, screenshot the prices today for Booking.com and watch them mysteriously increase by 12% tomorrow (amazing how that seems to happen)

    Notes say the following:

    All Experience Products (except for virtual experiences and Tripadvisor app purchases) are eligible for cashback

    Only Tripadvisor hotel deals are eligible for cashback - The Hotels must have a “Book and Get Rewards” button

    Ensure all booking must be made within Tripadvisor website. Booking made outside of it will not be tracked & not eligible.

    Cashback Excludes taxes, fees or additional extras
