Matching the Target price from earlier this morning (no deal posted).

I honestly feel like this set looks like a bunch of technic pieces jammed together, you'd really have to like the whole space thing to enjoy it.

I have almost all of the Space items but not this, it's not polished enough

      • Yeah, just checked and it doesn't look great. Seems like all off the shelf parts.

yeah, much of the appeal of lego for me is in how well the set is designed. This one is kinda low effort. If it was remote controlled, that would get it over the line for me, but alas, it isn't.

Agree with @squaredonut and other replies: for a space kit the presentation and value of this is super-meh. Compare it to the apollo 11 lunar lander, saturn v rocket or space shuttle and it lacks…well…everything.

      • Pretty much, the Saturn V was really well designed, great size, and great price too. Next to that was the lundar lander, which looked stunning.

  • Wait for $99

    • $101 with the newsletter discount from Target

        $2 too expensive

Thanks op, was waiting for a 30% or more sale.

I received this today with all the Amazon shipping labels and stickers stuck directly onto the Lego box, rather than having the item in an Amazon box. Kinda annoyed at having to peel all the stickers off. How do I ensure Amazon doesn't do this for future Lego orders?

    • There should be a drop down or tick box saying something about “send in original packaging”

Edit: sorry, can’t find it but I’ve seen it before with groceries. Ideally you want to untick that option but maybe you can’t.

Thanks. Yeah I remember seeing this option before and I have never chosen it. I don't mind if they ship like a kitchen appliance in its original packaging but I kinda want the Lego box to not be ruined by stickers or attempts to remove them :(

EDIT: I tested the check out again, for this item you have to choose "Ship in Amazon packaging" otherwise they'll just slap their shipping stickers directly on the box. I usually just click through everything after the payment screen, now I have to be mindful of checking this whenever I buy something from Amazon.

        • Ive never seen it before
Return it as damaged and reorder

          • @J5: I picked "ship in amazon packaging" and it came not in a amazon box but a plastic satchet (no padding). The Lego box was creased a bit from but luckily no major damage, First time seeing this as well.

    • Just got mine and same thing, but the box is smashed up and has water damage aswell… Not happy!

Edit - Also it says it's from Amazon Returns?
