LG 27" UltraGear QHD OLED Gaming Monitor $1477 + Delivery ($0 C&C/ in-Store) @ Harvey Norman

122

Seems a decent price. Basically matches the pre-order price.

Still too high imo but might be right for those who have kept an eye on it.

Not bad. Pretty sure it was a bit lower maybe about 1300 just before the current knock and win promo period

    • Even then it looks silly when the Samsung G9 32:9 QHD 240Hz OLED is $2199 on pre-order.

They use OLED yet still QHD??? Damn.. Better start look for TV…

4K at 27" is just utterly pointless. Windows scaling just straight up sucks, and bears a significant impact in gaming performance for the most minute return in fidelity over 1440p.

The 27" 1440p pixel density is the sweet spot for PC use.

Agree.. 1440 at 27" is a higher PPI then any oled TV on the market even 42"

Its a waste for gaming to go 4k and have half the fps and refresh rate for slightly crisper visuals you won't even notice during the action.

      • The fidelity is largely dependent on viewing proximity. 4k has much better flexibility for people that like being up close. If you're far enough away I'd be inclined to agree with you.

      • It’s not pointless for productivity.

I prefer using 1440p at 27” for gaming however.

you're not the target audience for this monitor. 4k is useless and requires unnecessary GPU power at this size anyway.

should be under $1k for 27

  • Decent deal compared to what others are selling them for, though I do think this is a little bit overpriced still compared to other OLED panels. Hopefully we see a price drop once more OLED 27" monitors come out, I think the only monitor that competes with this is the Asus model (which is more expensive).

I'll probably bite around $1k, whenever that is.

I'm the same I think. Not a fan of the peak brightness of these panels either but I'm unsure how it actually looks in person, just from reviews and anecdotal notes.

Happy with mine. Only time brightness is an issue is outside of gaming during Web browsing or word processing etc.

Do not buy this if you do alot of work at home on it.

I am squinting during HDR gaming in my dark room with small windows of brightness going beyond 700 nits.

The Asus is tempting as brighter but they have poor QA and lots of issues with them and less control over panel.

        • Are you noticing any issues with VRR flickering? Also any auto dimming/ABL issues? Been reading random comments about them in particular auto dimming worries me since I do photo editing too and not just gaming.

Lot of money for such a small screen.

Expensive and with terrible support. Nice kit though.

Yawn, shouldn't be more than $999 with the longevity issue and inevitable anguish of contacting LG for a replacement panel in 18 months. Isn't the text clarity on these questionable too?

Support for Gerry without an APOLOGY ??
