        Thanks…

I've bookmarked it for future reference.

        • JV nice to people. His team must be doing really well! 😜

    • This deal is their so-called One Day StarDeal. It's mostly just ONE watch model and updates each weekday at 10am.

The weekend sale starts around 1800 Fridays.

      • Almost perfect, but you should have quoted him.

  • Thanks. Bought the green

hell yeah green dial is nice as hell

(different style but i would still rather spend 100 dollarydoos on another sd1970 tho)

    • I think November will be earliest for that.

    • +3

Yeah but every collection needs an Eco-Drive because it's always running ready to grab & go.

Just don't store it away in the dark.

      • +2

You make a compelling point… maybe it would look good on me..

        • +1

It will definitely look good on you!

      • I store mine in the dark but since I've got them in weekly rotation I will pull one out on the weekend prior to wearing it and give it a solid couple of hours in full daylight, then do the same prior to it going back into storage. Should help to prevent the battery running down.

        • So you put them under direct sunlight for 2 hours? That doesn't sound good.

          • @WatchNerd: No, somewhere it’ll get good, strong light but not where the watch would get hot. If it’s cloudy then I’ll leave it for 6 hours or so.

  • I don't really need another eco drive but the black is very tempting!

Do it brah you deserve it

      • I know if I do then there'll be something I want more in the weekend sale! Maybe I'll wait until later.

        • this is Deepak's cue to hit me with his best shot at opening my wallet :')

  • I wonder how long these rechargeable batteries last in these solar powered watched if I do keep the charges well maintained?
Some sources suggested these have to be replaced every 10 years. If so, there are non-solar powered watches that claimed 10 years battery life and kind of defeats the purpose of "solar powered", given these are usually selling at a premium.

    • +1

I've mostly read online over 20 years if not stored away in the dark.

  • Is this the historical low price ? Awesome deal!!

  • +1

Is this an all time low? @WatchNerd

    What’s the lume on this?

    • Yes it's the lowest. I don't know about the lume because I don't own one.

      • +3

Last time they were $175 when I posted them, and that deal snagged 60 ups. This deal deserves at least 100, but I gave up applying logic here in 2016.

Bought this a few weeks ago at $179 (rip).

FYI for anyone buying the Green. It is a very very dark green. Alot darker than what is shown in the pictures.

    • Rip? Did it die already?

  • How does it work with the date on these watches? Does the date need to be reset each month?

    • I would say it would need to be reset for some months.

    • +2

Every months that doesn't have 31 days. You do the maths because it's Friday and I'm busy at jv's BBQ.

      • I'm busy at jv's BBQ.

        mad invite

        • +1

          Victorian's only. Dan didn't turn up 😬

        • Is Guke there too?

    • How many months with thirty days ? There's your answer !

  • Any Strap ideas for this?

Not keen on the bracelet style.

    • Barton watch straps.

      • What size strap
fits this cant see it on the specs???

    • +1

Why not buy one of each and rotate them through a series of wearings, then flip whatever you don’t want to keep to the Classifieds forum? Simples!

      • Well go on , lead by example !

        • Trust me, that thought has crossed my mind…

  • wow…cheaper than last time I got it for

  • i couldn't decide, i got all 3

    • They will all look good on you.

      • they all look great, and i have outfits that go with each one of them so they will be used and rotated often.

  • This black version drools
    If only…

  • The bracelet…..oof not great
