[Refurbished] eufy Cam 2C Pro 2K 2-Camera Set (Grade B) $269.97 (was $449.95) + Free delivery @ eufy

Was looking for some cameras for our place and found that the refurbished Eufy 2C Pro cameras were back in stock. Take note that these are grade B refurbished, and this is the spiel they have on their site:

This product is refurbished - B Grade, which has minor to light scratches and markings. Limited stock.
This refurbished unit comes with all contents (less retail packaging), shipping carton and a 12 month warranty

Here's the link to the 3 cam version ($377.97):

and the 4 cam version ($479.97):

I've paired these cameras up with some cheap solar panels off eBay, together with these Holaca 2-in-1 gutter mounts (https://www.amazon.com.au/HOLACA-Two-Way-Gutter-Accessories-…) so that I can mount them on the gutters in front of the house and not worry about recharging them.

  • Have they fix the security issue with the sync button? Are there any good quality security camera brands/companies that don't have serious security issues?

    • That’s what I wanted to know too

    • what's wrong with the sync button may I ask?

      • +14

Some people think the following things could all align:

        1. Thief recognises the brand and model of camera.
        2. Thief knows a super secret hack! That holding the sync button may delete the stored video clips.
        3. Thief has no way of knowing if pressing it did anything, but apparently he will risk having a big close up of his face on camera, because of the vague possibility the sync button deletes the video!

In reality, no thief will approach a security camera armed with the knowledge that pressing the sync button might delete the video. They have no way of knowing if the owner was using optional RTSP streaming and storage, or other methods of sending clips to the cloud. In other words, it's a non-issue that will never ever actually be a problem.

        • Exactly this but the paranoid folks will call you names and continue to whinge about unrealistic scenarios that would never happen.

All for what? Who knows but these people clearly have never been robbed.

          • -1

@ZIngerBurgR: What kind of dumb logic and assumption is this? Have you been robbed?

            • -1

@OzBoganYeah: My guy, $260 is a small price to pay to have footage of robbers walking over your (profanity) property.

Get your conspiracy nonsense out of here since you clearly don't need cameras and/or don't care for being robbed.

              • -1

@ZIngerBurgR: Dude, stop projecting lol. You're the one coming in here calling others paranoid and proclaiming conspiracy theories. I just asked a simple question.

Stop trying to create a mountain out of a mole hill. Go find someone else to argue with

                • @OzBoganYeah: Projecting what? That you're a freaking dumbass?

Every single Eufy post there's a person like you

bUt ThE sEcuRiTy FlAwS like are you serious?

                  Get a grip on reality.

There's about 5 different things that all need to happen simultaneously for there to even be a chance that your Eufy camera gets compromised.

It's a non-issue. But that clearly hasn't gotten through your thick skull.

        • Been looking to get a video doorbell and I really like everything Eufy offers on the hardware side of things but their encryption security issue is what is holding me back lol. Thoughts?

        • Eufy's reasoning is that if you ever wanted to change your home base or similar, you need a way of reseting the camera to connect to the new system.

The question I have that I haven't been able to get an answer to is how do other brands deal with the same issue? Do other brands have a similar weakness?

          • +1

@Domingo: I've got that same question too and I've researched other brands and haven't been find to find anything either

  • Anyone know if you could add these cameras from these packs to an existing system ? (Instead of buying the add on cameras)

  • Thanks OP nearly pulled the trigger on the 4 pack today for $719 so happy to get it for $479

  • Bought a camera few months ago to add to an existing Homebase 2. I found that the LED is pretty weak. Is there a model that has better lighting?

      • I already have the floodlight on my driveway and it is super bright on max. I have to bring it down to halfway. Hence when I compare that to the 2C pro, it's a massive difference.

  • What cheap solar panels did you hook these upto and the gutter mounts? Thanks for the post btw🙌🙌🙌
