  • i got to say that if u have ways to buy from china ad able to root the device to use, then u can get the xiaomi 13 pro around the price of xiaomi 13 with the same spec of storage

No Band28 though in the China models.

      • i mean u should able to recover the system to the Europe edition, but u need to root the device first and do some additional changes but to save around $400 is still a reasonable deal.

Changing the ROM doesn't enable more bands.

          • @KARMAAA: Ok i was thinking u are talking anythinh about not able to use google kind of things, i do surprise they do net support band28 which does make thia deal better

Absolutely terrible reception, based on my own experience. Global version is a must.

one issue, rooted china version cant use Google Wallet and Netflix. i got mine rooted from.aliexpress, have to return to seller after used few days

      • Any rooted phone can't use either, you need to know what you're getting into before buying it. Magisk isn't too hard to use with a little bit of research

        • du u mean buy china version then use Magisk can change it to global version and use Google wallet and Netflix?

  • Any benefit to buying pico F5 from kogan vs alibaba? Becides shipping time

    • +1

I'm using the xiaomi.eu rom on my poco which I believe uses the Xiaomi dialler, and that has call recording.

        • w its seemless integrated 'Sino Snooping' 🤒

  • Poco X5 5G ($399) Vs Motorola Edge 30 Neo 5G ($299 JB offer)

    What are your thoughts

  • Clicking on the F5 poco link and it says Snapdragon 7, and not 8 as per the title. Also this is cheaper than the presale. Anyone knows if there’s any difference between the two? Both are 12GB ram

The one in the post is sold by Kogan themselves but the one you have found is from a 3rd party seller, with most of them being dropshippers from China.
Kogan one also has 1 year warranty and should be covered under their minimum voluntary warranty linked in a comment above and should technically be much easier to deal with in the case of problems as it is directly dealing with Kogan.

Thanks for pointing that out. Much appreciated.
