880

If you missed Bailey's one https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/790138 but still want a bargain, here is a good deal.

Cannot find it on Bunnings website but I did saw it heaps times in different stores. Usually $99, sometimes $89, now it is $40.
not sure if this is national wide. 12 left in Ringwood Store.
120kg load, 0.6-0.9 height, around 1m long.
I bought a second hand one for $30 one and half years ago.

It would be good if they were stackable.

    It’s a platform for a ladder.

    Not a ladder itself.

    • +4

      Thanks

    • Maybe it's a bridge?

  • +10

I have one of these - it’s amazing for painting walls and ceilings. Well worth the $40.

And no, you don’t need a ladder to use - it’s a platform with built in legs.

  • -1

It's a work platform not for a ladder..
So it's effectively an adjustable aluminium work horse..

      Giddy up!

    • +1

      That you can stand on.

  • +1

sweet, hope these are in Perth. Anyone seen any?

  • Any way to check stock?

  • +4

    Stock levels https://nrby.in/bunnings/0861589

Seems to be nationwide. Powerpass showing $38 in stores I checked in Sydney

    • Not coming up for me, has it been removed or can you still see it?

      • It's not on their regular website, it's on the Bunnings trade app called powerpass

    • Is this ths I/N? 0861589

      • When I search it nothing comes up on the Bunnings website.

      • yes

For anyone trying to find stock. Shows $40 as well on there.

  • +1

Usually $99, sometimes $89, now it is $40.

and yet, the price tag says…….Was $75……

$40 is a good price if you want one!

    • They have to put the last advertised price on the ticket, if it goes lower in price the ticket will say was $40.

    Step 2: Obtain gorilla.

  • Does anyone have the Bunnings website link for this platform?

Copped from Bunnings Ringwood an hour ago. Timely indeed, just started a ceiling paint.

    • Lucky guy

    • +1

I'm also just about to start a ceiling paint - brother in law collected me one from Croydon this morning 😎

    • I got one at 9am this morning from Ringwood. The lady on the counter said I was the 5th person to buy one this morning. There were 2 left (1 unwrapped) when I got mine.

  • will this be good for my kids for the toilet and sink so they can reach it?

    • How big is your sink? If the kids are under 2, or the sink is at chest height, then yes

Otherwise just go with this from kmart for $5

Or this if your too lazy to leave the house Amazon

      • oh yea, that's true. thanks for the tip, it is also much cheaper. im not lazy, but yea, im going to get the amazon one. lol. thanks mate

  • just bought ceiling paint last week from a deal posted here….now this.
seems like im painting i guess.

if i want to use this as a portable workbench for cutting as well do i need 2 or will 1 suffice?

  • Went for a quick scout, no luck.
None on the floor and they say its a deleted item now.
They’re promoting discounts on several brands of ladders now, so it seems even more foolish for them to keep this underpriced item out there.

    • which state are you in?

      • +1

Nsw. I know op referred to VIC, but some posts here suggested it might be available statewide and stock tracker did suggest there’s stock here.

    • https://bunnings.youinstock.com.au/search/0861589 - there are some still around NSW 👌

      • +1

The stock says one thing, but I think they wised up and took them all off the shelves.

        • There are 7 tonight at McGraths Hill NSW. I grab one.

  • +1

FYI the "3" at Tuggeranong, ACT is actually zero. Empty ticket holder, deleted line. Stocktake happening next 48hrs will correct number on stock checker to zero.

  • +1

I have just got one from Fountain gate in VIC. They were not in the aisle with all the ladders but near the trade desk.

    • Thanks, were there many left?

      • There were more than 10 left
Also double check the stock https://nrby.in/bunnings/0861589

        • Thanks, just called trade desk at Fountain Gate, the person there said they sold out 2 h ago. So either she's wrong, or the stock tracker's a bit behind — nrby.in says 3 left, while youinstock says 16.

  • There was a trolley with about 10 of them at Alexandria, NSW. Towards front of the store, just turn left when you enter.

  • Grabbed one, thanks OP!

  • +1

Thanks OP…just picked 2x up for $15ea. Thank also for fantastic https://bunnings.youinstock.com.au/search/0861589 site who was spot on in stock amount and pricing. There are 3 left at bunnings stafford for $15 each. By the way item has been deleted of bunnings system so if you enquire must quote I/N: 0860813 for them to locate.

    • so frickin cheap…. well done!

managed to get one just now at 40…happy with that. thanks OP!

  • I was at Epping VIC Bunnings around 10:30am and there were still quite a lot of them. Thanks OP.

  • Harrisdale WA, 5 remaining on floor. End of ladders aisle 6, trade end.

Stock was showing 11, i bought 3 (one for the old man), is now showing 9. Go figure.

    • i grabbed 2 as well theres a bunch of bailey platform ladders half price as well

  • Bunnings carrum downs still have a few available in front of aisle 9.

  • Thanks Op.
Got the last one from Cranbourne.

  • Picked up one from Rozelle, NSW this morning, there were still about 5 or 6 left @ 0730

Just keep in mind these are the domestic grade ones which upon inspection are much lighter duty than the other Gorilla or Bailey equivalent that I currently own.

I just ended up buying one for my dad and not for work (am a builder).

Perfectly fine and a bargain for home use.

  • Thanks OP, grabbed one, note that you can get a further discount using PowerPass, I got 5% off so got it for $38 in total

    Good deal …
Went looking for one at the Busselton (WA) store. 3 in stock. Confirmed 3 in stock with staff.
Are they in the aisle with the ladders? … nope. Asked someone, well if they arent there I dont know where they are (no space assigned in their system when they looked it up).
After a few laps of the store I gave up. Congrats to those that managed to get one, if only Bunnings knew where sh!t was in their warehouse.

    • Wow appreciate it dude. Rare to get local advice for here on OzB lol. I'll have a look for the "1" listed in Bunno, but don't like my odds.

      • Good luck. I dont have much faith in the accuracy of their stock systems. Perhaps worth a call first and see if they can put it aside for you.

More recently they seem to be moving items with no knowledge of where …
        a) move something to a different spot because it doesnt fit and fail to record where; or
        b) put it in a random box in a random aisle number (standalone on the floor) and sticky tape a price on it, or hang it on those hooks on the upright of the racks; or
        c) grouping random unrelated things at the front of the store, in the middle of the store, out front of the toolshop, and out front of the trade desk.

We drove up to Bunbury on the weekend to get something and it was nowhere to be found (empty shelf, and no stock above it on the top rack).
The item wasnt in stock in Busselton, but they must have lost the entire box at Bunbury because the stock levels were fine on their website (hence the 1hr 30 round trip). Not sure if its because they (at least in Bunbury) are starting to sell pet products (with an entire aisle dedicated to it).

        • if it helps they werent in the ladder section but on the ends

they were clearing them out so it was shared with something else I almost missed it, and it wasnt even unboxed there was 2 in a box I just grabbed the box

        • Next time you have to do that, order it via click n collect on their website so they have to do the running around for you, and if there's an issue they'll let you know they can't fulfil prior to wasting the drive up.

          • @liam2040: Good advice in general but unfortunately Bunnings removed the page for this item

    • Same situation at Bunnings Bibra Lake so don't waste your time at this branch too. Asked several staff members with the same outcome. Consider the stock level zero here.

      • yeah wouldn't trust stock level bellow 2-3 thats just error tolerance

        • Yeah for sure …. for high volume items like this, if stock is showing 3 or less you are really rolling the dice.

  • Still 4 new and 1 display at Leppington, NSW

I called and they said they didn't have stock.

  • Hawthorn stock all gone. Apparently someone came in and bought 5.

  • I can confirm plenty of stock at Plainland on the way to Toowoomba, QLD. Around 30 opposite the trade desk

  • +1

At least 5 left in East Pakenham Vic, possibly more inside several cartons https://nrby.in/bunnings/0861589

  • +1

Decided to give this 'one last go' at Bunnings Rozelle.
Remarkably, I found two and purchased one.
Apparently $75 originally, good discount but I thought these things are way more expensive (considering the competition selling it for $150 'on special').

Then the traffic back home made me rethink all my life decisions.

    • had a look in the ladder aisle and this was the cheapest
      https://www.bunnings.com.au/syneco-1150-x-300mm-120kg-alumin…
….and syneco are pretty ordinary quality so i think we still did well

      • +1

yeah for sure. I thought this deal was a goner because they keep pushing this one to the forefront. But I do like Gorilla products and for $40, its a good win.

    • +1

Maybe closer to $99 originally, but on the tag they mark its previous price, $75 in this case. Regardless, it's a win.

  • +2

Not sure why the site lists 17 for Penrith, but they may be hiding them somewhere else. Aisle 7 had 7, grabbed 2 so there are at least 5 left at Penrith NSW.

But hey they scanned at $30 so even better!

  • +2

Gregory hills says 8 on their website. They had 1 instore that sold 5 mins before i got there, they say theres none left and the stock is wrong

    • +1

Got the last 2x at leppington. Also was reduced to $30 each.

  • +2

I purchased two of these last night, the tag had them marked down from $40 to $30.
I got two more this morning, and they checked out at $20.
