      • Will it still work for a coffee in a BYO cup? I had an app offer (seperate to this deal) last month and was told by the cashier it had to be in a 7-Eleven cup to be free.

        • I hope you took a 7-eleven cup and poured your coffee into it. Problem solved 👍

    • Not on mine!

The cashier needs to add the regular coffee first, then it will become free once you scan the bar code. This store had free coffee signs all over it and also was also asking everyone if they want the free coffee

    Thanks OP

  • If 4 people in the car, can you split or have to do it 4 times? haha

  • Just filled the fuel today [VIC], scan my app, and did not get it for free.

    • It’s seperate to the app. No app needed. It needs to be applied via the POS. Check with the team member that they applied the free coffee and not the 50c app discount.

  • Their app does not work at all except fuel lock.

    • I had a seizure reading that

  • Filled up2L ( Victoria) , showed the email, a guy at counter double checked whether I purchased fuel and he gave it to me. He didn't scan the cup. It was all good.

    • There should also be plenty of signage up. We’re encouraged to offer it, although if the customer doesn’t look like they’re in the mood we might not bother.

Hack - Free coffee, no fuel purchase.
If you go at a busy time, just ask people if they want their free coffee. I'm sure someone won't and will give it to you.

    • Have you tried that?

    • 😄

      • Haven't tried yet, but if I was in the store and getting my free coffee, I'd tell the other customers about the free coffee and ask if they wanted it. If they said no, then "can I please have it?"

  • Does anyone know the minimum fuel delivery? Is it 2L?

    • All the pumps that I have seen have a label saying 2L

2L. The POS will allow less, but the store or operator might be sassy about it. I don’t care about it, but it never really happens.

      • Ah well, chip $5 in (almost 3L) and it should do the trick😉

Have been to 2 different stores on 2 different days. Bought my own cup every time. On one occasion I scanned my card so that fuel lock can be used, but the system didn’t give me free coffee. The staff at 7-11 Guildford was very kind to refund the $1.5 for the coffee.

On second occasion, the staff at 7-11 Northmead declined to give me free coffee as I bought my own cup. He says where is it written that you can bring your cup. I advised him that I have used the same deal yesterday at 7-11 Guildford. He says this is not Guildford and what proof do you have. How am I supposed to give him proof. Therefore, had to get another coffee in 7-11 cup to get it free and paid for the one in my cup. Unreasonable and non sense owner.

  • My local allowed fuel lock combined with the free coffee. (Appears they discount it manually at the POS, it's not automatic). This was Ascot, Brisbane, QLD.

    • They have to add the regular coffee and then press lookup coupons and select free coffee august

  • Redeemed a good offer for a snack, got priced-locked fuel, a free coffee, and the staff said with a big smile :) Nice you saved $11.70, almost $12 with your fuel lock!
Best experience I've had at a retail shop in a long time haha!
