  Oddly, the specs on the HH page don't match any familar standard i.e. "waterproofness" as a score out of 6 for which they rate themselves perfectly.

    The 6/6 rating is not a rating for the waterproofness a such. It's more likely just for comparison when compared to their other jackets and i've seen other companies do this before as it gives the buyer an easier method to determine which product is best. This uses their highest rated waterproof fabric, Helly Tech Professional.
    In order of waterproofness, the Helly Tech fabrics are:
    Professional - 20K+
    Performance - 10-20K but typically around 15K
    Protection - min 5K but typically 5-15K
