    Chuck in an i7 bruv

  • What's the power consumption level? I want to use it as a headless proxy server.
    Thanks.

Compared to some past deals this probably should be $260 including delivery.

    Wanted to check.

    1. Is the disk drive a SATA SSD, or an NVMe ?
    2. Want to confirm it has an optical drive ?
    3. The main image seems to be of an Elitedesk, is the image correct? (ie two audio in/out on the front)?

    Thanks!

I've had several of these at work and they always seem to s**t themselves as soon as they reach the end of the warranty period. I've bought countless ex-lease dell office boxes for home use and used them for years past their EOL with no problems but it doesn't seem to apply to HPs for some reason so I personally try and steer clear

I've purchased probably 50+ computers in my lifetime, on 3-4 occasions it's been a HP. Have NEVER had a good outcome with that mob.

      So I stay clear now.

  • Assume wrong pics shown?
Rear shows 2 display ports plus vga, description mentions 1 display port plus vga, can rep confirm what is the correct display outputs?

Any upgrade available for display or memory if needed?

not a particularly small unit given that's the DVD drive on the front? Much prefer the Lenovo "TinyPC" when they appear on places like reboot IT.

    • Can you fit dedicated GPU inside that case? Extra HDDs etc? Also as far as I know, the Lenovo Tiny PC have mobile CPUs.

These are more comparable to the Lenovo right? https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/754878

      • No, only HDD or ram mostly, so yes the tiny ones are more limited "mobile spec" parts, solidly reliable and low power use though (laptop PSU)

        • Yep same as the HP ones. This is SFF though, larger more powerful CPU and expandability. Not sure why you neg is for being a different form factor.

          • @onlinepred: It's not, I should have been clear, the neg is because they're crap and break easily. Seen far too many of these sh1t themselves for no reason to ever consider an old or refurb one. Dell too for that matter, just save yourself the headache.

@DisasterArea: We moved to HP elite desk 8 years ago and haven’t looked back. I use 8 year old ones as home servers and as security nvrs. Your own experience isn’t worth a neg. Over 40 new PCs every 2 years, we have roughly one failure when brand new each time, but after that they go forever. Perhaps you had issues with dust or something. These pcs are solid. Hence all the second hand deals we get with loads of positive feedback. These are business grade machines that when new come with on site warranties.

Show us a better deal and your neg might be valid.

    • Bro, you're comparing apple with an orange. There are powerful mobile phones available if you only want small size.
