Was looking for some cheap pre-workout and came across this deal.

Looks like only ICY POLE and GREEN CORDIAL flavours are on sale for more than half price.

Normally $69.90 by the looks of it.

Lack of ingredient dosages is perpetually annoying.

    • Any recs for pre workouts that are affordable and well dosed in AUS? Gorilla Mode is quite expensive here unfortunately…

      • I've been using C4 lately and it's been pretty good

Pretty sure that's just caffeine and no effective dose of other supplements. Mainly looking for something with a good dose of L-Citrulline. Preferrably a low caffeine dose too since I want a daily pre.

      • $93/$95 on amazon, is that expensive or cheap?

        • +1

For 40 serves, very expensive I think

      • Check out Ryse. A couple aus websites sell it and I've read many threads on reddit where people are preferring it over Gorilla Mode.
I'm yet to try it myself as I've so got some GM Nitric to finish, but I'll give it a crack next.

        • Stuff is still quite expensive at $65 for 25 serves

          • @Dumb Dog: I’ve tried a lot of pre workouts over the years (and I mean a lot!!!!), and have had the best results from Harness by Arms Race and Fury by core Nutritionals. Both would still fall into the expensive category (well more so normal pricing these days) but I can definitely say they had some good effects.

Performance wise, Harness probably has a slight edge (like really really slight) for me personally, but it taste like crap compared to Fury. I’ve tried all the flavours from both and all the fury flavours were really nice, whereas I didn’t like any of the harness flavours.

The one I’m currently using is Per4m. It’s also not bad, but I still thing I got better performance out of both Fury & Harness.

          • @Dumb Dog: Well unless you buy the ingredients individually and make your own (which some people do), I doubt your going to find a well dosed product cheaper than GM or Ryse.

            • @zekeyoung99: Was thinking about that, given you only really need Citrulline, caffeine, sodium and creatine? citrulline and creatine you can get in bulk from aminoz, sodium is easy and I guess I like that I can adjust the amount of caffeine if needed if I do make it myself. Is this worth the effort??

              • @Dumb Dog: Can you price it out and let us know! How is e.g. anyone making money from this stuff

Are we that lazy? I don't believe so!

@Kammi: Well i guess people can do the calculation themselves based on where they get their supps from. Not dose advice at all but I've seen people take these amounts commonly: 3-5g creatine, 8-10g citrulline malate 2:1, salt 1/2 tsp?, caffeine depends on tolerance, personally 100mg works for me - can be had in tablet form for quite cheap. I've seen other supps are good too like betaine anhydrous, l-tyrosine, glycerol. Flavouring can be had from soda no sugar.

Have yet to try this concoction though but I have been taking creatine from aminoz and was interested in their citrulline malate 2:1 offering.

      • There are a few US sites that ship to AUS if you're after some "proper" pre-workouts. The cost per unit is more expensive by the time you pay shipping - but I buy a couple at a time and find it actually works out equivalent price per dose since you can halve the dosage because of the stupid potency/banned substances.
