A bundle for the Resident Evil series for PC is up now on Humble Bundle. This is split into 4 tiers with the following being offered:

Tier Price (AUD) Games
1 $4.52 RE: Revelations 2 - Episode 1, RE: Revelations, RE1
2 $15.09 All the above + RE6, RE5: Gold Edition, RE4 (2005), RE0, RE2: Revelations 2 Deluxe Edition
3 $30.18 All the above + RE3, RE2, RE7: Biohazard
4 $52.82 All the above + RE Village, 25% off RE Village Winters Expansion coupon

For first timers into the RE series, Tier 3 is probably the best tier, especially given it comes with 10 games, including the well renowned RE2 remake as well as RE7. All games are redeemable on Steam. The latest entry, the second RE4 remake is not included.

As a younger person I loved RE on the Playstation… First game I ever completed & still enjoy the franchise today as a much older person

I have all these games but I think it's quite a decent bundle IMHO

  • I'll be picking this one up 🙂

  • no time to play any games but still gonna buy haha
    Thanks OP

  • Awesome bundle, shame I have them all already

  • I've played pretty much every RE game since the RE Remake on Gamecube and love all of them. The older tank style gameplay does take a bit of getting used to in this day and age but it's great at building tension.

i don't have any of these so i bit.

Heard that alot of these can be modded to play in VR as well.

    • Lucky you. I definitely would've bought it if I didn't own RE 1 & 4.

RE2/RE3/ RE4/RE7/RE8 can be played with Preydog's vr mod. and there are Motion controls for RE2/RE3/RE7 /RE8. I have played Castle part of RE8 with quest 2, I was really impressed.

      • Nice. Wonder if it has teleport locomotion as using thumbstick movement makes me sick

  • Is it just me or has Humble been dropping some of its best bundles in a good while?

  • I have loved this series from the very first one on OG playstation, which I was so opsessed with I could complete speed runs with the knife only. These days I am a very different player and find the earlier games unplayable.

If you are like me and enjoy playing Co-op, there is some good news here!

Resident Evil Revelations has Co-op for the end game "ship" level where you unlock all the best equipment. The main game is Solo only. Thing is, the main game can be "easily" ocmpleated with out anything you can get from the End Game Ship. Soo.. if you are just after the storymode stuff, there is no CO-Op here for you. That said, if you like what the End game Ship has to offer, there is probably 100+ hours in just that, and its Co-Op!

Resident Evil Revelations 2 I believe the main game chapters have co-op, but the "Bonus" chapters do not (may be rememberin wrong on that one). I Seem to remember there also being an End game thing here as well but I never put any time into it. The Co-op here is really good! The two characters perform very different yet complimentary roles. You really have to work together to get through everything. One of the most interesting Co-Op game designs I've personally played and enjoyed.

Resident Evil 5 designed to be completely co-op. It can be played solo, but you will need to manage an AI partner. I think the Gold edition includes the DLC chapters. Also Co-op. This one still uses the old "can't shoot and chew gum at the same time" controls, but the camera is standard, modern, third person. It may be found rather frustrating by modern standards and does take some adjusting. Probably why this one gets the most "needs a remake" noise now that RE4 is out.

Resident Evil 6 is the same as 5. Designed to be played Co-op. Manage your AI partner if you wish to play solo. This is a modern game. No control or camera problems here.

    Missing DLC from this bundle:

RE6 only has online arena sort of DLC which I do not own, likely will never own, so I have no opinion on if this is an extra expense people will want to consider.

RE2 only has Costumes and stuff. Nothing exactly essential, but for RE fans this stuf if still fun to have.

RE7 has quite a lot of DLC of varying quality. Some I only put a few minutes into before discarding as they are basically interactive cutscene flashbacks. However, there are two campaign Epilogue DLCs that are well worth playing.

  • Are there any jump scares? I don't know anything about these games

    • +1

Yes there are some jump scares. If you are asking if these are "Five nights at Freddies" style games then no. Absolutely not. They are third person survival / action games with horror and tense atmosphere.

  • Similar deal last year. This seems to be cheaper.
