Pretty good for this laptop, decent specs for a budget. Not sure about the TDP for the graphics card though.

Everything else ok except for that 3050. Though i mean for the price. I suppose?!

  • Looks like it has a fairly mediocre display and only 720p camera. Otherwise I think it's good specs for the money, especially if you need a graphics card

I have the 11th gen version of this - as much as I dislike Acer as a company and the products they churn out, I have to say they have hit the nail on the head with this product. its firmly in the right price range for a budget gaming laptop and they have prioritized what's important - the actual specifications of the laptop. The chassis is plasticky and gross, the keyboard kinda sucks and I consider the track pad that bad that you should factor in a mouse purchase regardless of what you intend on using it for.

Having said that I highly commend them on the choice of hardware combined with the screen they used. Its a very balanced build, if I had to nitpick maybe a 3060 would've been a better option but the price would obviously increase as a result. I still think the nitro 5 is the gold standard for a budget gaming laptop. They have even upgraded the ram from the model I bought(which I believe is worthy of an instant upgrade from 8gb to 16gb).
