Great shoes. Bargain at that price.

    • Never had Hoka before. Are they as good as ultraboosts?

      • +2

        Never had ultraboosts before.
Hoka is great. One of the most comfortable shoues I had.

      • +4

I own both brands of shoes but use them differently. I find Hoka is a better choice for walking / running but I don't like the colourways. Ultraboosts are mainly aesthetic for me, casual and gym shoes.

        • I did a long walk in the Ultraboosts, while they were OK, they were clearly not designed for running/walking. Also the tread showed signs of wear after a single walk. My main runners are Brooks revel 4 and asics gel cumulus 23.

          • @Skinnerr: My daily trainer is Novablast 3. I use it for speed work, tempo and long runs.

Parkrun to Half Marathons - Vaporfly 2

Half to Full marathon - Vaporfly 2 or Alphafly OG.

            • +1

@D3NI3D: These Hoka Clifton 8's are very soft and squishy and only good for slow/recovery runs and training runs under 10km
For many heavier runners, myself included, these are too soft and cause rubbing and blistering on long runs

              • @choofa: I have the Cliftons for walking. I take them on all my travels. I've taken them for a few runs and they feel ok not as responsive as other shoes I've worn.

Try the Novablast, I really like them for the versatility.

                • +1

@D3NI3D: My Cliftons are everyday shoes for walking now.
I've got a pair of Saucony Endorphin Speed 3 as my regular running shoes and on old pair of Vaporfly 2 for longer training runs and a new pair of Vaporfly 2 for races
I've also got a pair of Hoka Carbon X 3, Adidas adizero pro and some trail runners to change things up
I've stopped buying shoes for now…

    Perfect for running into Bunnings.

  • +1

Do these fit true to size or on a similar size to say a adidas or nike running shoe?

    • +3

I have adidas and a Hoka, sizes are the same

    • These are the only shoes I've had where the normal width was too narrow. The length is true to size, though.

    SOLD

  • Excellent running shoes apparently, copped a pair for the old man, thanks OP

  • Very good price!

  • Thanks OP, good deal, grabbed a pair.

  • +1

Thank you, was searching for a entry level walking/jogging/running shoes.

  • +7

    No wide size available :(

  • +1

I have a pair of these, very comfortable but I mostly walk in them not run.

  • +1

I had these for a year - great runners. If they were in wide I’d get some.

  • I am generally a wide in most runners however don’t need a wide in my favourite brooks. Anyone know how these fit? Have been meaning to try for ages.

Edit, already sold out but would still like to know!

    • +1

You'd likely need their 2E Wide version.

      • Thanks for the response!

    • I bought a pair last time around and while the length is fine, they are narrower than Adidas Pureboost in the same size.

  • +1

At 80 bucks I'm too curious not to try out hoka. Thanks OP.

    • Haha I thought exactly the same thing! My Mum loves them and keeps buying them from her Podiatrist at crazy inflated prices. I've told her to shop online lol

  • +3

Amazing value. One of my favourite running shoes out there. A no-brainer if you’re looking for a general trainer which can last up to 600-800km.

    • Any chance you've run in Nike pegasus? I've still got a backup of those but I'm sorely.tempted to diversify..

      • +1

Sure have! Prefer there though as the ridefeel is great and soft and cushioned. I’m on the heavy side and these feel like running on clouds - can easily do 20-30km in there per run and feel fresh

        • +1

Cheers for the response mate :)

      • I have pegasus and New Balance 1080. Running the city to surf this weekend and I think I'm going to go with the pegasus. Very comfortable.

  • +1

Wish the men's was in black and white…

    • I thought that too, odd that they are categorised as women's shoes. But does it matter? If the size is available.

I ended up splashing for a bit of colour - the ones in the thumbnail above - after watching a couple of YouTube videos to see them IRL

  • Great deal but sadly none left in size 14

    • +2

      Mega-hooves Colston, they call him

  • Must not buy…..but….so cheap

  • +3

Code LASTONES to get it down to $63

    • where do you enter this?

      • Honestly got no clue, honey did it for me got my shoes for $63, turns out they were womans shoes. Tried again and cant find the place to put it. weird…

      • There's a coupon box on the checkout page. But like the name suggests, it might be for the last one?

I used it to get some adidas zx1 boosts for $43.

  • "Fit Type
    Regular Fit"

    Yeah nah.

  • Good shoes, Better than the Arahis, worse than the Bondis. Great at this price tho.

  • +1

I got a pair of these last time and they're super comfy shoes. After about a year of wear though they squeak with every single step and even though they're still in good condition, i just cant wear them anymore…

  • im normally a 9.5US in a 2E. Any idea if its worth sizing up to try the normal width?

Is it easy to return this stuff via kogan?

    • These run really narrow. Honestly I wouldn't bother. Mine are uncomfortably narrow and my partner hated hers because they rubbed on the sides of her feet. It's a pretty common issue people have with them. It's a shame, because she loved her Clifton 7's. The Clifton 9's don't seem to be much better.

      • thanks mate, i'll skip.

  • Bit narrow fitting be careful with sizing

  • +2

I just tested at at the stores. Avoid if you have wide feet. Definitely uncomfortable. Would buy if they had the wide version.

    • Best wide I've found is Brooks. I have wide and weird shape, I did Asics, New Balance, both in 4E but Brooks is the one which is finally actually wide enough in a 4E.

  • I'm in need of a new pair of joggers and this deal reminded me.
I've had a few pairs of brooks in the past and they've always faired quite well, so ended up grabbing these for $99 instead.

  • A belated huge thanks to OP, I got one of each colour. These are by far the best running shoes I've ever had, to get two for ~$155 is absurdly cheap. Thanks very much 🙏
