Note: The Baseus Amblight Power Bank is 114Wh (3.8V x 30000mAh / 1000), so may require pre-approval to carry on flights.

    • Who gives this approval?

      • The Airline company you are flying with.

Refer to this forum post for more information

        • Yeah I just read it. I don't think it's 30k on the dot but yes, good to inform them and seek approval. Better to be safe and keep others safe too.

          • @sqheaven: 20k mAh is the limit for many airlines in Asia and Europe.

            • +3

@Froot Loops: It’s 100Wh so you’ll notice some powerbanks being sized to 27000mAh to just slip under this number.

I have this power bank (30ah), Mine cuts out after 45% battery everytime so the capacity is far from representative of the advertised 30ah YMMW.

    • Sounds like a dud cell is causing an error. It's it still in warranty?

Can confirm I bought the 20ah ver back in March and has been acting up below ~45%. It drops ~1% every 10seconds when it hits 40%ish. Have contacted Baseus via eBay see how they respond

This is interesting. I won this power bank a few years ago from a giveaway and it has the exact issue that you describe from day 1. I figured not to bother getting a replacement since I got it for free. Not sure how similar both these products are but just an interesting find!

I'd imagine its the chip theyre using to regulate the power being unable to work with lower voltages since lithium cells voltage drops as power is drained.

They could probably mitigate it by using a second chip or a different design to ramp up the voltage from a lower starting point, at the cost of more battery drain but they'll never read this comment anyway.

Shame either way, if the battery bank is practically half capacity, it is twice as much carry weight for nothing.

    • Thanks mate! I was about to click on, but I think I'll wait for something else 🙂

  • Currently dealing with support to get a replacement on one of these. My USB-A ports are faulty, very painful experience. First they offered me 30% refund, then 50%. They only reply once per day at around 6pm. I just want a replacement!

Negging this deal to bring to attention the number of issues users have experienced with this powerbank. Is it a deal if the USB ports don't always work? Is it a deal if only half the capacity is usable?

    • What u men

I had two of these and both died. Second was a replacement after which I got a refund via Bangood.

Support asked me to make videos about the issue. Was surprised about the amount of comments I got from other people experiencing problems.

  • anyone have issues with the 20k version?

  • Now showing as $60.29 for the 20,000mAh version with TCH20

They seem to have increased the base price
