Not a bargain if it ends up costing you more.

    • Yep price hikes in July and again in September for me in SE Qld. Very cheeky.

I did the math on this for my shack, and if CR pays out on day 180, Energy
Australia would still be more expensive than the 21% off VDO offer I can get elsewhere.

And then here’s the issue of it tracking and CR/Ea agreeing to payout. Simply not worth the hassle and risk.

    • Did the maths as well, I have to agree with you :)

    • May I know which company is this? 21% sounds really good

      • AGL. I would never have thought they’d stack up competitively but for my suburb are among several at circa 21% off VDO. I considered many of the smaller players with cash backs and rebates etc, but commentary via OzB indicated poor comms, billing and customer service overall.

AGL are offering a $75 bill credit which is better than having your Schlong slammed in a car door so I went with them.

I'm in NSW , I checked energy Australia rate are better than agl. I'm with Agl for 10 years but they don't give me any credit even I said I will leave agl

  • may take up to 180 days to be confirmed by EnergyAustralia.

This could mean you'd need to stay connected for at least 180 days and if so, could cost you more even after $250 cashback

  • This doesn't apply to Solar plan? Anyone know is solar plan is eligible for cash back?
The landing page only has one elec plan?

  • I spent 6 minutes still not not seeing any rates. It asks all my details before I even see the real rates!
Typical EA! It charges me for my neighbour's bills for months and was so hard to get it correct!!

  • Is EA cost effective energy provider?

    • you need to compare the rates for your address. it will be different for everyone.

  • Note they're upping their prices again in early September. Mine were increased in July and I got an email yesterday saying they're going up again (~10%, and ~20% previously), so check you're getting the new rates

    • You mean EA price will up again in September? How come ? Agl said their price will up again next year , why EA up that soon ?

Chinese owned scum, do not give them your money.

  • I just moved away from EA, and going back again? Lol

  • I just missed this ..now then down to 70 for electricity
