    Drink water?

    • +5

      Nah

      • +7

Stock up for when it gets delisted

      • +7

Yes, and harmful in amounts no human could possibly consume in a lifetime.

        • -8

meh, shit is worth $1< a can. Water is better. If your life is worth less go ahead.

      • In regards to Aspartame a.k.a. Sweetener 951…

Acceptable daily intake (ADI) of 0ā€“40 mg/kg body weight for aspartame. … For example, with a can of diet soft drink containing 200 or 300 mg of aspartame, an adult weighing 70kg would need to consume more than 9ā€“14 cans per day to exceed the acceptable daily intake, assuming no other intake from other food sources. - JECFA / WHO

Aspartic Acid, Phenylalanine, Methanol… it's got what plants crave

      • +1

It's worth mentioning that the who iarc is out of step with every other body on this issue and uses a very unusual way of interpreting evidence. In fact, they don't even have a category for "does not cause cancer" because they haven't actually declared anything as not causing cancer.

Also, sugar is known to definitely cause huge effects. Avoiding aspartame and consuming more sugar is not a good idea.

Also, sugar is known to definitely cause huge effects

What effects? I dilute it 20-80 with plain soda. It's negligible. Takes away the effect these drinks have to keep you feeling constantly dehydrated and wanting more of the crap when you consume it straight(both the sugar and sugar free versions). People have said the same in threads for other drinks, but addicts in here seem to get defensive over pepsi. lol.

      • You are going to increase your heart strain and risk of diabetes because the WHO put the sweetener that we injest at a level far below what is recommended in the same category as picked vegetables and aloe vera?

        • -2

If I can get diabetes from 1 glass a day of pepsi diluted with 20-80 plain soda water majority of the US and AU would be on life support with amount of sugar people consume straight.

          • @[Deactivated]: You mean to say heart disease isn't the leading cause of death in both of those countries?

@ginormousgiraffe: read what I wrote a few more times and try again.

    These go flat very rapidly.

    • +1

you're not drinking them fast enough

    • Where are you storing them?

      • +4

on top of his washing machine

    • Yes they only have 6 month expiry. Taste changes from about 1 month left.

  • +1

A reminder to those with Costco memberships that 30 packs sell there for $18.99.

    • Last time I was there they had just increased the prices from $22 to $23. Maybe the prices differ state to state?

      • +1

NSW prices would likely be higher due to the container deposit scheme. VIC's will be jacked up too later this year when our scheme starts.

        • Yep that is exactly the reason why it's $3 higher, thanks.

  • +1

it's $14 for 24 cans at NQR this week.
