    How did you know?

It was displayed when I placed the order in the morning, but it is gone now.
      not sure why

  • This or lime blue coffee?

    • Lime Blue never disappoints (unlike this one).

  • +1

Yeh, nah. Didn't post my review in original linked above but a subsequent deal.

Not good. Very burnt/ash taste on both Sophie and Castillo. Would not recommend.

    • +1

Note: my feedback is based on using the beans via pour over method.

    • The Mocha Supreme & Sophie's Blend were actually my favourite beans purchased off OzBargain. Second place Inglewood, third place Little Marionette, fourth place Lime Blue.

I'm using a Breville Barista Pro and we have both espresso and milk based coffees.

      • Strongly Agree

  • Craig here, from Soprano Coffee.
If you are after coffee for a pour over, as fufufu I think uses, reading your previous comments (please do not take this as rude as it not meant to be), you are best to go very light roasts, specific for pour overs as they will bring the subtle flavours out.

Our roasts are mainly designed, blended, created for espresso machines.
I compare coffee taste to wine, some people like white, some red, some full bodied reds, some fruity, everyone's tastes vary

From the last Oz bargain deal, thank you very much Oz bargain customers we have had a lot of repeat customers, so yes there are a lot of happy customers.

unfortunately most people do not post positive reviews, only post if not happy.

If you have any questions please email at [email protected] Unless I get swamped like last time, I will answer them.

    Cheers,
    Craig

    • Yes you are right, I make coffee via pour over method which is why I asked what you would recommend for that method. To which you responded with:

I would give the sophie and castillo a go for the pour over as they are lighter in roast.

You did not say that it is not recommended to use them for pour over which I specifically asked about. I will update my comment above to mention pour over. However, my point stands that I cannot taste much else besides ash/burnt flavours in the coffee from either beans. My understanding is you listed them because they were your 2 lighter roasts among the available.

Just for your information, I am able to make a not burnt, not ashy, sweet aftertaste coffee from Aldi's medium roast beans. It is not a brag, I mention it as it is classified by Aldi as a medium roast, not light.

I also hope you don't take offence as I'm not here to try and ruin your business, just giving my feedback on my experience. Which is what the comment section is all about.

    • Received the beans a week ago and are as good as ever.

  • i enjoyed the mocha supremo and caramella last time. i usually drink piccolos and flat whites. my go to beans are Inglewood Roosevelt.

  • Grabbed these last time, they were great really smooth. Last time I got the MOCHA SUPREMO and SUPER CREMA. Both were great so happy to buy more.

    • Agree, ive tried both, super crema, creamy and a bit lighter, mocha was my favourite as it packed a bit more of a punch

Wondering when the offer ends? I don't need coffee till next month

The deal is still going, it was created for mates of mine, the link was leaked onto the website, so yes the deal will always be going and happy for others to buy the deal.
It just looks like I have lots of friends. (insert smiley face)

    Cheers,
    Craig.
