Still can't believe Fortnite actually receive crossovers from Attack on Titan, Dragon Ball, Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia and Naruto…

    • +2

They recieve so many crossovers that they lost their charm, imo.

    • They had a Giannis Antetokounmpo crossover last year.. it's absurd at this point.

Fortnite is kinda strange with these physical releases.

They go up in value a fair bit?

    I might get this one.

    • +1

Yes they will go up in value once they can't be purchased from a retail or online store anymore. It is wild what some are selling for now!

    • These literally have a piece of paper inside the case (with the code printed on it). There's no disc inside as a result.

They rarely have value beyond the paper and plastic themselves.

      • +1

The code on the piece of paper is where the value is. You know starter packs from a few years ago are selling for $100+?

        • Fortnite is one of the rare examples of value increasing overtime.

Question is: are people actually buying these after their original distribution has finished?

          • @silverrat23: Lol yes I am one of them and there is a Twitter community that revolves around it as well. DM me if you want to know more!

        • Are they selling? Just cause it's advertised at that price doesn't mean anyone is paying that price

  • I bought this for my son for PS5 last year and he was unable to redeem it on a child account. Not an issue on other consoles apparently.
I have to set up a PS5 adult account, wait a year and then link his epic account to the new PS account. Pain in the ass.

    • Wow that sucks! Next time cop an Xbox code then redeem it via Xbox cloud play. Although the child lock thing still might persist…worth a try though?

      • He mainly plays on Xbox, so yeah I should have done that. No issues with Microsoft. Sony are weird with their PS5 codes, putting age restrictions on them.

        • Yeah I hate that and region locking too…Xbox make it so much easier. Doesn't matter where in the world the code is from!

  • Is this like the deep freeze bundle where subsequent redemptions after the first give bulk V-bucks?

    • I don't think so - that was a weird glitch haha

    • With that being said if Minty Legends drops to $10 I'll buy it on Xbox (already own on PS) and cop my v-bucks for less $

    • +1

My mate asked the other day why I had 20 copies of the deep freeze bundle haha

      • +2

Hahaha, yeah I shocked my wife a couple times by ripping open the plastic, taking out the piece of paper, then immediately throwing the case in the bin.

      • I assume they are all Xbox version?

    • +1

Ah I remember that! That code still worth anything?
