  • I got the Ozito SDL5000 last time around, it's really good, makes putting flat pack stuff together super easy. I'd get that instead of the Aldi one.

I got the Ozito 3.6V Cordless Push 2 Go Screwdriver Kit last year and regretted it (reasons here).

      • Oh bugger, sounds like you got a dud. Mine has been terrific, I put together half a house worth of Ikea & TnW furniture for my mum's new place the other week with it, though I use 3rd party driving bits, the ones supplied are trash.

        • +1

+1 Mine has seen a lot of light duty work and it's been terrific. I'm super happy with it and considering buying another one as a spare.

    • I got that one too (Ozito SDL5000) and also recommend. The bits that came with it aren't the best quality (some didn't fit the drill itself!) but the tool is great.

Aldi really needs to establish an online store for their brand rather than treating these like limited edition cyclical release collection. Just can't bite the bullet with any of them with how competitive and easily accessible the Bunnings ones are. Will be left high and dry when needing a tool that I can't get access to or need to replace to get a job done.

    20v brushless good?

    • +2

You can't go wrong with the one with all metal chuck.

  • How come they call that a 6-piece set while it has 5 skins + 2 batteries + 1 charger?

    • +1

USB outlet is counted as a skin, so 6 skins, 2 batteries and a charger.

  • I wonder if Bunnings will do a price match on Ozito or Ryobi

    • +1

Usually their Ozito Power X Change range.

  • When brushless circular saw

We bought ours in Jan 2023. ALDI usually follows the same special buys cycle, so expect it to be available again around January.

  • Anyone have opinions on the Xfinity tools? Worth investing into a dead-end battery brand or better off getting Ozito PXC?

    • Aldi has pushed the 20v range for over a year now from memory, I think one is as likely to change as the other. In which case there are adapters.

Seems like Bunnings hasn't matched the drill yet?

    • +1

Yep, been checking daily and appears Bunnings hasn't matched any of them yet.
