Breville Barista Express $584.10, Philips All-in-One Cooker $251.10 (& $100 Philips GC) Del'd (Members Offers) @ David Jones

570

Until Sunday, David Jones are offering David Jones Rewards Members (Sign up today if you aren't a member and receive a stackable $10 voucher) an extra 10% off already discounted and non-discounted "Small Appliances".

Here are some great bargains!

You can get either the Breville Barista Express (OzBargain's favourite coffee machine) for just $584.10 in either Black Sesame, Stainless Steel or in Black Truffle. Whilst it isn't the cheapest it is certainly a decent price in recent history.

Plus, for Father's Day, you can get a bonus gift pack (Via redemption) valued $232.

You can also grab the Philips 8L All-in-One Cooker HD2238/72 for just $243 (Mod: unable to obtain) $251.10, more than $100 off RRP.
However, like Breville, Philips are also offering a Father's Day promotion. You get a $100 Mastercard Gift Card (via redemption), bringing the total price down to just $143 $151.10. A very good bargain.

Also, if you plan on purchasing anything from DJ's, don't forget to stack with the current gift card bonus promo!!

Enjoy!

This is part of Father's Day deals for 2023.

Sorry if this is a silly question, but after signing up to DJ rewards how do we get the 10% discount?

    • Following, I've signed up but haven't received anything. Their live chat option isn't working either.

    • +2

I couldn't see the 10% discount too. The rep on live chat told me to wait 24 hours if you've only just signed up. It might take some time for their system to register your membership.

  • Is this the good breville machine that people rave about?

    • I think it has won a few awards and is one of the highest rated manual / semi-automatic coffee machine at Product Review (AU) but it has a new version out (Express Impress).

I wanted a more automated system and went with the Touch Impress but it's quite similar (pre-infusion, 9 bar extraction) and will make essentially identical coffee but the Express is more manual where the Touch is more automated including milk frothing and dialing in the machine for new beans. The Express also has less grind settings but that fine of adjustment is probably overkill in the Touch. The milk frothing will take a bit longer due to using a Thermocoil in the Express rather than the faster ThermoJet heating system also.

      • From what I've read the Express Impress really just improves on the grinder and tamping (same grinder but with finer control, automatically does the dose and has a handle for tamping), the rest of the machine is the same. For me I'm looking at getting one because I have no idea what I'm doing, for someone with experience the 870 is probably fine.

How much did you pay for the barista touch impress? I thought it cost about 3x what this one does (there's the pro which is about $900, the touch is an automated version of the pro and the impress is the touch with the fancy dose control? I think so at least, I get confused on all the versions).

I paid a little over 1.6k at the Qantas Store. Yep, that's right, the touch impress is the automated pro with the new dose control.

wow you are so smart and handsome

Very good machine for the price, especially if you are just getting into it and haven't already got a grinder.

The other Breville one that gets a lot of praise is the BES920 dual boiler, but that's more around the $900+ mark, and seems like it has all but disappeared from the market at the moment.

      • My mate sold me his Barista Pro (he upgraded to the dual boiler).
I am so impressed with the machine and I wish I got one earlier.

I know the Pro is a little bit of an upgrade from the Express but going off my experience with the Pro, I suspect the Express would be a great machine for the $

      • BES920 has been superseded by the BEP200 according to this…

    • Amazing machine. Very easy to use and maintain. You will easily make your money back on it rather buy coffees everyday. Coming from someone who had never made barista style coffees before buying this machine.

Long time DJ's rewards member… seeing $649.00 even in shopping cart. Where did $584.10 come from?
Is this only for new members?

    • Are you signed in?

      • yes

        • No idea why it doesn't show for me. DJ's online chat have been great and said they will refund me the difference after I order.

Same with my account. No 10% discount.
      Same with my partners account.

Didn't show the extra 10% initially but logging out-logging back in did the trick for me

Just signed up for a rewards member account, no email with the $10 voucher, or email about the 10% offer. I asked live chat about the 10% offer and they said "unfortunately to have access to this further 10% discount you need to have signed up at least 24 hours prior to this special offer"

    • I received my $10 voucher a couple of hours after sign up.

    • Pretty much same. For me they said must be a member 7 days beforehand, and "even if you are registered, you are not a member unless you are subscribed to receive promotional emails". Lol

  • Fyi, spend $150 get $15 back showing on my Westpac cc

    • +2

$15 cashback on $100 spend with CBA too on my app too.

  • The offer was not working for me. Speaking with chat, they couldn't provide a reason. They told me to proceed with the purchase and they will refund the 10% difference to the original payment method when the item is dispatched. They sent an email to confirm.

A bit of a stuff around, but getting the right outcome in the end.
