      That code doesn't work.

  • IF the deal last until morning, can potentially price-beat at Officeworks too.

    • Yeah, I was going to hold off till the morning to price beat but I wake up late so I just tried my luck and went with Topcashback for 5% cashback instead.

      • Worst case cancel coz 4 weeks dispatch

How good is Google nest wifi router? Would it make my NBN50 any better with 16+ internet devices?

    • Possibly not. Depends on what you mean by better.

Not much different from my end, I bought as I had dropouts with my existing routers/repeaters

I have one and NBN150 with 50 or so devices because I needed a mesh network with dropouts

    • My experience is yes it would.. Depends on what you are replacing though

    • Go for a unifi system if you can justify it. Solved my wifi crisis.

  • Google Nest Doorbell sold out

    • How long do I stay awake until back in stock

  • How much is the subscription?

  • +1

These bells have bad brackets. Mine fell and now has broken lens. However, I would still recommend them

    • +1

2 years, still going strong. Kid tried to pull it multiple times.

  • Any way of paying for nest aware in turkish lira? Cos now you can pay with google play.

    • F

  • Nest bell must be pricing error, lucky who got one

  • Can battery door bell still do hard wiring?

    • +1

Yes, mine is hardwired and works with existing chime

      • Got a link for the transformer you used for hardwire?

        • I had a existing door bell. Used those wires.

        • Bought one from Jaycar

  • See the nest wifi now $289!

  • How do you eliminate the delay between pressing the doorbell and hearing the chime on a speaker? Mine would be 10+ seconds, by which time most people are turning around.

    • How good is your wifi signal at your door? Mine was always <2 secs

      • It's a tiny unit. WiFi signal is good between all device, nothing would be more than 8m away with direct vision

        • Are you using nest speaker? I have both nest and lenovo speakers. Nest pickups quick compared to lenovo. May be try reset

    • Mine has huge lag and network drops all the time too. Replaced under warranty once but still not fixed

    • setup static IP for all nest devices, ensure good quality wifi signal.. I also have mine fully powered which seems to slight improve the time but still a few seconds delay.

      • Yep got static IP but it's not got the best wifi signal despite being pretty close to multiple access points. Presume wifi is not great to save battery

  • +1

Surprised they stock this now. Never used to because of their ring products

  • For those with the outdoor camera, how long does it take after you receive the notification, you can actually view it?

I have a Reolink camera, and it takes about 8 secs before I can actually see the video

    • Depends on the speed of your wifi signal I have found.. Also the length of the clip.

  • Looks like the Doorbell Battery is back in stock now,

    • Still not showing for me. Care to share the link?

  • +2

Just remember you need to sign up to nest aware to use these well. It's nine bucks a month on top of your purchase.

    • Thanks. Hard pass then.

    • Not entirely the case. Extended functionality is provided with Nest Aware. You just don't get the smart alerts and only 3hours of event history. Most camera companies do something similar.

      • Dont think eufy does

  • Hows this compared to Eufy?

    • Yeh interested in this versus doorbell. Eufy much more exy.

    • Less likely to have home made hobby level security?

  • Just tried to buy the Cameras and they went back up in price right as i was about to buy

  • Mine say, Google Nest Cam (2 Pack) $495 :(

  • show is over. Everything has gone back up but there are still discounted.

  • Yeah Ozbargain saying out of stock but just looks like the heavy discount is finished. Still discounted and orderable but the pricing needs updating on this page.

  • Any chance this sale suggests google releasing doorbell 2 soon? It's the only thing putting me off with rumours about v2 being soon.

    • Do you mean the wired version that was never sold here?

      • +2

This one can used as wired, just need to connect to a power supply.

    • There is always version 2 … 3 and so on.

  • I would probably avoid Google Nest products now as they’re increasing the Nest Aware subscription by 71.43% for one camera!

“Thank you for being a 1st gen Nest Aware customer. We wanted to let you know that the price of your Nest Aware subscription for Home will soon increase from A$70.00 a year to A$120.00 a year.1 This new price will go into effect on your next bill that occurs on or after 6 November 2023.”
