This is probably the cheapest way to get a Dyson Gen 5 at the moment.
Add a $3 50-pack cable ties 2.5*100mm to bring the total to $1000 to qualify for the $100 off code. I tried many items to find which useful ones qualify for the discount code, and eventually settled on this (one can never get enough of cable ties around the house 😉 )

    Been looking for a spare battery and floor stand for Gen5 since I got it from last eBay deal. Couldn't find them on sale yet! I upgraded from V6 and it is worth the investment.

      Currently have the V6, have upgraded the battery and added a hepa filter, aside from that. Straight up is there a major difference?

        Major differences:
        1. Suction power is much better
        2. Larger dust container
        3. Laser light for hard floow

        Overall, it is "generations"ahead of V6 :-)

      I am reusing a third party floor stand I had for my V10. I have to use longer screws to go through the mount though.

      First couple of uses whilst it clears the in ground dirt if you have auto you wont get too long and you'll think what the hell, but the more you use it the cleaner the carpets get and longer you'll get.

      On auto I get about 35 mins, on full boost about 12-15 fully charged, the auto does pretty good spooling up and down, sounds so much better than my old absolute, my mrs thought it sounded like a kids toy it was fairly quiet.

      I got the clone versions, I'll speak to those. I can recommend the soft dusting tool and the hose. I think the clone hose is better, much longer and that helps. The soft dusting brush works well with the hose but do does the dusting head that comes with the unit. The crevice tool is kind of meh.

        We got the Complete with the freestanding dock. For our needs we love the freestanding dock and it was well worth the extra spend of ~$100.

    Just an fyi with the dock make sure its fully tight before locking both the wall mounting plate and holder together, doesn't seem to be an easy way to separate them again.

    I had my dock bracket placed, had the screws lightly in place to make sure the clearances where spot on, it locked in placed and it was a pain in the ass to separate again.

    Not sure why they made this decision wasn't an issue on previous versions. Is a great upgrade over the 4 year old absolute version it replaced, pulled so much more stuff from the rental property carpets than the absolute had achieved in the few months I had been here. Does so much better with our car carpets too, I was very happy with the upgrade. The dock issue I'll have to revisit when I buy a place at the end of the year. Likely Dyson will need to replace it unless theres a tool i can 3d print to release ?

    $900 for a vacum cleaner ? How good is it? I used Miele one which is very good till the head broke.
    Then I used a shop vac, cheap used one for $40, which is equally as good. The head is rough plastic, but it's fine for me.

    Got this one on the last OZB deal, it's completely replaced the larger corded dyson & hoover vacs. It's incredible, 10/10.

    Pet hair on carpet just gets annihilated.

    This Absolute bundle doesn't come with a standing dock, only a wall mount (The Complete bundle comes with a standing dock but don't see any active deals atm).

    Has anyone found a gen5-compatible 3rd party standing dock solution? I don't wanna wall-mount :(

      purchased and received, the bloody floor looked a mess using that laser- Cleans really well, had vacuumed the floor a little earlier and it picked up a lot of hair. So far I'm impressed, although a little heavier than the v6 we had.
