For those who are new to Prime Gaming, here are some answers to the questions you are about to ask…

    1. You get free games each week whilst you are an Amazon Prime member (check https://gaming.amazon.com/home on Friday mornings). Make sure you log in to that page under the Amazon account that has a Prime subscription. Click the button marked "Weekly Game" to filter the currently available games. Varied DLC is also available for free by clicking the "In-Game Content" button and following the instructions.

    2. The games are yours to keep, even if you unsubscribe from Amazon Prime.

    3. Most games are redeemed via the Amazon Prime Gaming app (a Windows app) which you will need to download, install and log into. Some games are redeemed via GOG, Origin, Legacy Games or other sites that may need to be linked (Amazon provides full instructions) and require another app to be downloaded (such as Battle.net, Origin, EA) and account used or created.

Of course, you could always just log in at the end of the month and pick up all that month's goodies in one fell swoop. If you do this, you need to watch out if your Prime subscription expires during the month though, as that would make the games unavailable to claim.

Hope this helps to clarify things for you.

    • Are these games only available for Australian prime? Asking because currently I do not have prime but got the Canadian prime trial for Doordash subscription. Tried to go through there but when I click 'Activate Prime Gaming' it doesn't work

"Oh no! We can’t enable Prime Gaming on your account.
It looks like there was an error activating Prime Gaming."

    • I was thinking of starting a prime trial to redeem FM23 but also have access to a friends Prime who doesnt game often.

Is it possible to change from my trial to his permanent account for Epic games in the future if i end up seeing more games i like?

      • You should check on the comments below from @Donners22 where he asked a similar question about switching Epic accounts. Ignore my suggestion to him as it didn't work but he may have discovered the solution in a Reddit thread that he details further down. He didn't come back and post if it worked so I'm unsure if it is the solution but at least you can try it for yourself.

Awesome! Time to lose some more days of my life to Football Manager.

    • +1

Playing it right now actually. (profanity) me.

      • +1

Where did you find it? I can't see it on the Prime Gaming site.

        • Same here. Nowhere to be seen on their website or PC based game app. No way to contact Amazon - typical. Also these announcements/releases are timezone dependent. Could be LIVE in the UK, but for Oz allot different. I got an email from SortitoutSi - stating the same offer. But we enter the 7th September 7 or 8 hours earlier than them. The issues go on and on. Pure ignorance from these vendors who don't understand its a GLOBAL game with a GLOBAL player base.

          • @jmorgan10: True. To be fair OP did set it to start at 2pm on 8th September. I just thought Hamlet was saying that they had already claimed it from Prime Gaming today.

            • @GregRust: 2pm on 8th September? Oh really, apologies have not seen that. I'm new to this forum, can you drop a link to that post in here? Thanks.

Sortitoutsi (who are close to SI) in their email stated "If you have Amazon Prime but you don't yet have FM23, you're in luck. Amazon's Prime Gaming offers several free titles throughout the month of September, including Football Manager 2023, which will be available from September 7th."

        • The comment from cryptowiz says comes out on Friday mornings. So I'd assume Hamlet had it previously?

          • @Neyo01: Noted with thanks. Not sure Sortitoutsi is on about then.

        • +1

Hey mate, nah I didn't get it through this deal. I bought FM23 a year ago when it came out as a gift for myself. Part of me wish I hadn't.

Is it possible to switch the Epic account tied to Prime? We tried last time they had Football Manager, without success.

    • Don't quote me on this as I haven't tried it but try searching Amazon Prime Gaming "Your Active Apps & Websites". That MAY allow you to delete an existing connection. If that fails you should have an online chat with Amazon, they're very helpful.

    • Yes you should be able to disassociate the Epic games account from the Prime one.

      https://www.amazongames.com/en-us/support/prime-gaming/artic…

You have to do it from the Epic games side though.

      • +1

Epic side doesn't work; it has no link to Amazon in the settings.

I did find, via an old Reddit thread, an obscure link to Amazon which did allow disconnecting. https://www.amazon.com/gg/links

We'll see in a few days if it works!

        • Its got Twitch TV in there which is owned by Amazon now. Your link also works I think.

        • Hey, just wondering if it ended up working? i was going to redeem FM23 but might need to change accounts in the future.

          • @shev07: It did! Just disconnected via that link, and signed into a different account when claiming it.

            • @Donners22: awesome thanks. Do you think you can link and unlink multiple times?

  • a lot of content i havent claimed yet…. thanks for the nudge and reminder of the games.

I'm quite liking this trend of getting Football Manager each year. Given I don't often play in the top leagues (I prefer building my way up) this is a great way to get a new yearly FM.

    • +1

      Any rags-to-riches stories?

      • +4

Wrexham to prem & qualifying to champions league, over 14 seasons. the board built a new stadium in my name.

        • The real challenge is to play a holiday season then apply for the job at one of the teams promoted to the National League North or South (lowest playable tier).
Also, use your real-life status, enable 'fog of war' attribute masking, only sign players recommended by your scouts, and staff that respond to your ads, and under no circumstances should you quit and repload!

          • +1

@sam buster: I do all that, only signing players recommended by scout would be a hardcore challenge that I'd be keen to try. Also you can get lower league expansion packs at Sortitoutsi, & start lower than National League North or South. I had a good run with Cadbury Athletic in Midland football league Div 2.

    • Would genuinely make the annual prime membership worth it for me if I strip away everything else, free yearly FMs have indeed been nice.

They are changing the way they release yearly FMs going forward though so this probably won't last: https://www.footballmanager.com/news/future-football-manager

      • +1

Sounds like 2024 at least will be released in regular fashion. It'll be interesting to see what they do with 2025; I can see it becoming a subscription model like they've done with Touch.

Shotgun King is a lot of fun for a low-stakes roguelite.

    • I've managed to get a win with each of the shotguns and and now trying to get past level 4 difficulty. I normally don't play roguelites but this pulled me in. Good to play while you're watching something but some of the random rules / cards keep you on your toes.

  • Football Manager 2023 not visible on their website or gaming app as of 7th Sept @ 2:40pm AWST. Viewing from Western Australia.

    • Yeah, I can't see it either.

      • Apparently its Friday morning.

        • +1

Yes could be 7th September US time.

    • It seems to be there now, I just claimed it.

Graphics in Football Manager is worse than PS2 and phone games

    • +3

I think you might be missing the point of these types of strategy games.

  • Summertime Madness on Legacy Games. Please comment if you claim it.

      thanks, redeemed

  • 400000 bloodpoints to the first person to DM me

  • anyone have trouble getting the game to show on epic games launcher?

    • Same here - can't find the game in my EPIC library. I have tried re-link the Epic Game Store account as per Prime suggestion, but still no go

    • Yeah same here. I went on live chat and they were not able to resolve it, so they have escalated it.

      • any luck?

        • Nope - still on support emails with Epic and Prime Gaming ("working to resolve the issue")

        • Update: Football Manager 2023 "magically" appears in my Epic Games library. Guess they have resolved whatever issues they have.

  • Did someone forget the Diablo 4 pack or does it deserve its own post ???
