    Aren't these things $5 at the Reject shop?

    • +5

      They are definitely not the same quality.

          Do you just question shit for the sake of it? $16 for a plastic piece of crap at the reject shop, this is $4 more, is heavy duty, has metal latches and hinge and is customizable (removable bins). Can you click the link, read shit and apply common sense or what?

            @thiccglutes: You just got @jv'd.. 🤣

              @WasBargain: I think I did, does he act dumb to troll and everyone is ok with it? I don't understand why he hasn't copped the boot yet.

                @thiccglutes: He got banned on whirlpool pretty quickly. Mods here should have banned his ass a long time ago.

            @thiccglutes: That's his primary role around here, questioning shit for the sake of it

            @thiccglutes: JV he's done it again 🤣🤣🤣

            @thiccglutes:

            $16 for a plastic piece of crap at the reject shop

            I paid $5 earlier this year.

            It does it's job.

            won't make any difference for 95% of the people who use these.

            @thiccglutes: jv going to need to pick up some ointment while at the reject shop, to assist him with dat burn!

      These are 10CM high, useful for larger loose items. They are very strong stack them up use as a chair during lunch.

        There are 10CM high, useful for larger loose items.

        maybe.

        They are very strong stack them up use as a chair during lunch.

        I find it easier to just use a chair.

    These are great at this price. Bought these when they were $19 as well back in Feb this year.

    They are very similar in dimensions to the Dewalt Tstak and Stanley range but unfortunately, they are not compatible if you want to stack them up.

  • Does look handy actually, especially for RC parts

      I put nuts in mine, bloody hurt getting the lid shut though.

    I'm still waiting for a good sale on the AEG quickstack cleartop ones.. 😪

    What makes this better than these (apart from metal latches which could be a pro or a con)

    https://www.bunnings.com.au/tactix-405mm-organiser-with-12-d…

    I have the Tactix ones and they are great

    • +3

      I don't know about those bunnings ones, but the cheap ones usually have a flimsy plastic lid and when you carry it around by the handle the lid flexes and all the components can slide out of the 'top' buckets into lower ones - which kinda defeats the purpose of the entire thing.

    • This Tactix one looks more like the HRD in this deal - https://www.bunnings.com.au/tactix-9-compartment-trade-quali…

    • Uses more durable plastics for the case and inner containers, the main difference though is the polycarbonate lid that doesn't degrade or distort very easily compared to the élcheapos that fall apart at any sign of UV exposure.
      These are trade/industrial quality made for a hard life lugging heavy components around.

  • Is HRD a brand that's been around for a while and if I wanted to buy more in a few years (or matching toolboxes…) will they still be around? I've never heard of them… but that doesn't mean much.

    • +1

      I think these are mass produced and rebranded for various markets. Same product but different name here

    • +2

      Pretty sure HRD is Total Tools house brand

    For those wondering, Inner Container Dimensions: 110 x 80 x 90mm

    • Good info, added to OP.

  • +2

    Looks good for storing doodads for table top games

  • Bin Stackable I read as Stack Binnable. My spoonerised mind at work.

  • Looks pretty schmick. Tough polycarbonate lid too, vs polypropylene on all the cheaper versions of these.

  • +1

    Bought two a while back for $50 total. Good solid quality. Use it for storing screws

    • +2

      I just store my screws in old dolmio jars. Screwed the lids onto the bottom of my workbench shelf and I can easily see inside them and when I need them I just unscrew the jar.

      • +1

        Great idea - nice work.

        I hereby nominate you for September's MacGyver of the Month award!

  • Oof, $89 shipping for five.

  • Thanks OP ordered 2 for pick up, I have a few cheap Bunnings versions that are now falling apart so good timing.

    Update: they called and said OOS, so I told them to cancel order.

  • +1

    I just picked it up from Bankstown today.

    For the price, great quality and decent size too. I like how the ‘bins’ can be a removed to make way for bigger stuff.

  • Link now gets me 404 not found.

    • +1

      It was unfortunately a one day deal. If you really want one it might be worth calling a store as I saw a decent amount of stock still leftover at the Brooklyn, VIC store a bit before closing.
