pro = x570s (without chipset fan)

    • seems like they have changed the design. I have the v1 which came with a chipset fan

  • What is the difference from the first edition?

  • Showing $299 to me.

    • Showed as 299 on my work PC, but shows at 215 on my phone. Strange

I think you need to select an ACT or NSW store.

  • Can you attach a 4060 or similar on here? Thanks.

    Warning don't buy
Looks like these are in the date range of the dodgy I225V intel NIC 2.5gig.

    • Seems to be only in certain situations (you can force it to 1gbps) and there is a chance these come with the V3 revision of that chipset.

I wouldn't say it's a non-buy just because of this, unless 2.5G is at the absolute top of your priority list when picking a new mobo.

      • If the speed of the built-in Ethernet adapter is not an issue, is this still a deal breaker?

    • Mine came with the 3rd version of the Intel® I225-V chip which has resolved these issues.

  • Assume normal computer usage, is there anything this X570 offer that B550 doesn't? I believe less bandwidth, so limited to 1 strong GPU

    • B550 would be fine, I had 2 GPUs even on that, 3090 + 3060

    • +1

Not really, remember B550 didn't exist when x570 came out, it was the tier up from B450.

Nevertheless this board has excellent VRM, it's a good buy even at $300

    • The only advantage would be M.2 drivers

B550 can really short of select options run 1 pci gen 4 nvme drive, then if u add any more it will take lanes off the GPU

x570 boards can,In most cases run up to 3 nvme drives..negating the need for any sata drives

    Yeah

    DO NOT BUY THESE

The SKU's match up exactly to the batch with the faults

Even then, this was a SHIT x570 board, the onboard audio sucks arse..has nearly no debugging options

And it's m.2 layout is jank

Just get a Half decent b550 board if u need am4

The price is a keen driver though. I haven't seen a decent B550 with wifi for a while.

      • Or an ATX board that isn't $300+
