Unlikely. He most certainly did know. It wasn't enough
Ive had a pair for years now and they are great at this price. The foam ear pads are a little small but you can buy larger ones if you have larger ears.
How do you replace the earpads? The stitching on mine have come apart after a few years.
Its very easy, there is a little skirt bit that slots into a little gap on the phones, get one half in then rotate the pads to get the reast in.
Very easy.
Can vouch for these, decent sound quality and comfortable for me at least. No issues in the 3-4 years I've had, just had to replace the earcups a few months ago. ANC is pretty much non-existent though but the passive noice cancelling makes up for it.
Shit headphones that sound shit, fit shit, and the earpads rip open exposing the foam after just 1 year.
Do yourself a favour and get the AKG N700M2.
I'd still be recommended those all day long if they hadn't been discontinued, though Cash Converters probably has a healthy amount of used stock.

The earpads do fall apart after some time but sound is good comfort ok. I will replace my earpads and see if comfort improves
These earcups are very small and hurt my ears. Wouldn't recommend.
I got these for free from work and they suck. Like others have said, veeerry tight and uncomfortable for regular to large heads. Microphone is crap quality and terrible if there is any noise around. NC is pretty much non existent. Do not recommend.
Worst cans I've ever had. The fit is too tight, it hurt my eyes, ears and entire face with a stinging pain for months while I was using them. Didn't think they were the culprit, I thought something was seriously wrong with me. Never had those pains again after trashing these things.
