    Got a couple of these on the last deal (which was a fair bit less than this price). They're good but not very bright compared to my Philips hue lightstrip.

      They're not really for lighting up areas, more for mood lighting where they reflect off surfaces. if you put it directly above your BBQ area then yeah probably will be sufficient.
