  • Im waiting on the Multiquick 9, thou tis is a good price.

    • Whats better with the 9?

      • 1200W motor and a few more attachments

      • I’ve had the old 9 which was 1000w and the new one which is 1200w. It’s a noticeable difference in blending

Active blade technology ? Lol .

    • +1

I love marketing.. but I would hate to have a inactive blade, especially on a blender

      • +2

An inactive blade is a knife.

    • +1

      Mercifully, it is 'ACTIVEBlade technology':

World first. Blade moves up & down to blend even the hardest foods. 2.5 times more active cutting zone.

Presumably in addition to the regular rotation. Still not a great name.

      • Sounds like a impact drill

        • It is unclear from the brief description as to whether there is any percussion involved. I would think it is just smoothly oscillating myself.

          • +1

@bargainpersona: Blade is on a spring which can retract and extend a couple of cm from its original position and you push it up and down manually, good for last bit of solid particles.

What i do like about using this model and the 9 is that you can blend without incorporating too much air if you need to. This gives a much better texture to smoothies and drinks where foaming takes the smoothness away from a smoothy. The other benefit is that less aeration usimg the blending tool means less oxidation which adds to the flavour and does the same job as a vacuum blender. However there is a bit of a technique to get the vortex going without too much aeration and thats where the active blade help at the end.

  • Wonder how much better these are compared to the kmart ones. I got this about 2 years back and they are still doing the job well https://www.kmart.com.au/product/stick-mixer-with-chopper-se…

Don’t see the option to purchase on Amazon

  • All gone. Damn, I wanted one for Lebo Garlic sauce to keep them vampires away

    • chuck us the recipe that works best for vampires

      • min 1 cup of peeled garlic cloves per serve.
        also keeps annoying people away.

Bugger, also wanted to replace shitty Kmart blender.

  • Bugger, missed it. Those of you who got it are welcome - I had an alert for about a month and pulled the trigger on Amazon for the MultiQuick 5 yesterday.

  • These hand blenders are generally good except for the bloody balloon whisk attachment that breaks easily.

my cousin is using it for while and he never had issue its very good blender specially it got more attachment and you can use for lot of things and designed in Germany.

With multi quick 9 MQ9187xli , it got safety feature with locking system and it got imode system with 3 speed mode , u can slice, shred , chop, make show string potato chips , then you can crush hard stuff like ice and watermelon together, Blade can go up and down to blend stuff very quickly. it got 1200W so imagine how fast it is.
