    piece of mind.

    Classic ozbargain.

Fair call. I was naughtily (and hurriedly) posting this at work. Will edit.

      • +6

Isn't that the idea? If you post them at work then you get paid to post bargains. Win-win.

        • +1

But he won't have piece of mind.

          • +1

@b2dz: If it wasn't posted hurriedly I'm sure Wafflel will get a piece of someone's mind.

But then what do you do with an extra piece of mind? You couldn't possibly fit in another piece of mind if you're already full.

      • +1

You forgot to include Alex P Keaton

      • +1

If you did this on company time then your employer owns this deal. And they are probably entitled to any affiliate money it makes.

    • I can use this calculator to see how many pieces of mind I would get if I added this piece of mind to my mind. Likely I will end up with 1

I posted this in June for $33.96. It generally sits around $38 most of the time.

Look, the watch deal plebs can't hope to match you, Watchnerd….

      • +7

Haha sorry just letting members know. You can also get it on eBay for $39.00 delivered ($37.05 eBay +)

      • +4

Lol! this comment is gold. Upvoted post OP, Thanks WatchNerd for all your posts and advice

    • +3

Ya. camels shows the highest ever price was $69.95 in 2019, so the OP saying 'on sale for less than half price' is simply not true. This is about a buck off average pricing of the last 6 months.

For the folks that like this (like me) you should have a look at the new ca-500 models they brought out.

    Once they get discounted😁

    • +3

No chance, they don't even have backlight. If you are paying more than $37 for a metal build, it better have a freaking backlight.

      • Only the band is metal. The body is painted resin.

Seriously, if they made the A158W with a metal body, that would be perfect.

      • Not as cheap but the Dbc32 has a good light (but imho, worse keys)

  • Are Casio watches generally cheaper in SE asian countries? Heading to SG soon and was wondering if I should bother going watch shopping there.

I'm hoping to grab one of these Casio LF20's which is $41 SGD ($99 AUD here in Au)

    • +1

Plenty of Singapore watch stores are online & I don't think postage adds that much but you wouldn't be paying GST so it might be cheaper. I always look at eBay & Amazon 1st for Casio cheapos.

Also what about the Casio Royale? It's more of a classic & can be upgraded down the track with a Kranio SS case.

      • Sorry to Hijack the comment thread here - but I'd really love your opinion on the Casio WV-59, Watchnerd.

Any experience with one? I've heard you can emulate radio signal with a phone to sync them?

      • Why not both? I'd get the Royale in silver and the LF20 in black for some variety

        • Yep each to their own but personally if I was considering a Casio with a resin lens & it was above $40 then I would rather spend a bit more & buy an entry level G-Shock with a mineral lens.

    • This one looks awesome!

Shipment is 149 to my place. Dam

If you live at a dam you get what you deserve.

  • Is this the one with the ir blaster?

    • No. I haven't seen them in years. They were a lot of fun.

Turned all the tv's off in the TAB once and made the staff freak out.

  • Looks so 80''s - 90's . and who needs a tiny calculator on his watch when you've got a mobile?

    • +7

In case you need to do tiny calculations.

      • +5

Must be what my tax agent is using to do my returns

    • +5

The looking 90s is the point. It's seriously cool and one of the recognisable and iconic watches. You can but don't have to use the tiny calculator, as you say you just have a phone these days. I recommend using it very slowly when you want to annoy people.

    • Looks so 80''s - 90's

      That is not by accident.

and who needs a tiny calculator

Yes, it's an iconic look from the 80s, even 90s. You must not have been around when it was released originally seeing as though you are seeing this Casino style of watch for the first time.

Great if you have a Toyota Hilux in your garage, or you wish you could go back to the beginning of the season, and put some money on the Cubs.

Maths teachers in 1987: You're not going to have a calculator with you whereever you go.
    Casio: Hold my beer.

  • Why does removing the "?m=A256AF575I60BK" from the URL change the price?

    • +5

That parameter is the merchant ID for Monster Trading Store, putting it in forces the Amazon system to show you the listing that is sold by that store.

If you remove that from the URL, Amazon system will show it's own first party listing (Sold By Amazon) as the first preference. If Amazon itself is sold out or on back order (e.g It says Ships in 3-4 weeks) then it's next choice is to show you a third party seller with the lowest prices and fastest shipping / fulfilment time.

      • Thanks… the more I learn about Amazon the less I like it.

I had this as a kid storing phone numbers

Did you ever use the calculator?
