I'd still spring for the C3 when it is on sale, it is the best vacuum I have ever used, good build quality and ultra powerful. C3 is made in Germany, C1 is China and slightly worse but still fine for this price.

    • +1

The C1 I had was also made in Germany. I think not all are made in China.

    • +4

Wrong. C1 classic is made in German too. how I know? bought it 3 months back.

      • +3

My bad, C1 compact and C2 are China, C1 classic is Germany. They really have too many models that are almost the same lol.

        • -2

So people opinion on quality may be a racist mentality?

C1 or C2 or C3 they are all virtually the same

    Username checks out

    That's what I tell my wife anyway…

What do i tell my mistress

    • +9

She should already know about suction.

      • -4

        Because she gives blow jobs?

        • +4

          Because those jokes suck.

  • +2

Just learned that they all have the same motor, and the differences are in the features and accessories, for those who have prime can get same price delivered - https://www.amazon.com.au/Miele-Classic-C1-Junior-Cleaner/dp…

Well I am wrong, looks like they have different maximum outputs as per Amazon.

    • +1

The C1 classic (grey) has a max 900w output while the C3 has 2000w, also the C3 is quieter.

  • +4

I have one of these and they absolutely suck…

    • +2

      Well that's a real blow .. 😉 .. …… ………

      • -7

        Job?

      • My 20 year old miele big cat n dog can suck and blow, it has a blower adaptor.

  • Good price

  • +4

I have the C1, it's nice but I don't like how the stick isn't telescopic. Makes it really annoying to disassemble and store.

    • +2

I’ve got a C1 and using the telescopic stick from my 10+ year old Miele that finally died 🤣

    • -1

      Stick vacuums aren't telescopic

But it's not fashioned to show off your mileie

  • +14

I had one of these but I sold it.

    It was just collecting dust.

  • My mother in law travelled around the world with a pack of Miele dust bags because she’d packed up and ended a lease and forgotten to put them in storage. Said they cost her $80
Are they really that expensive, and can you do my usual trick which is to just empty them manually and reuse
Or buy quality generics if they exist?

    • +4

      I’ve tried generic, not great
Now buy the jumbo box from TGG commercial

    • +1

You can certainly reuse them more than once. You would need long nose tweezers to empty the bag and dust will spread everywhere, but it can be done.

$80 would be for 4 bags, you should be able to cover a house several times with one bag.

    • Dont forget mother in laws often dont use oz bargain or online ("unsafe") and still frequent brick and mortar stores like Harvey Norman is the default way to shop for things.

I bought genuine bags from Amazon for much cheaper than 80, and also used generics from ebay, both work fine

    • +1

I get cheap generic ones off ebay and they work fine

  • +1

    Very happy with C3 complete

  • Thanks op used 5% off gift card via Bupa rewards and paid ~ $237.

    Good enough for me.

  • Where's the best place to buy bags for these? I've got a C3 and should probably get a few….

  • the only I don't like about those vacuum cleaners is the bag system. It's not good for the environment or wallets.

    • +1

yes, I have an electrolux bagless, so don't have the added costs of bags anymore. In saying that, I wouldn't mind getting a new vacuum as this one is prob 8 years old now

      • same here! I got ZUF4303PET nearly 8 years ago for around $250, still doesn't skip a beat

    • That's one thing I like about this system. Just chuck the bag out, done and dusted.

    • +2

I would never buy a bagless vacuum again. In my experience they are louder, emptying them is a cloud of dust and it you don't clean the filters every time (very dusty process) then suction power is reduced greatly.

but if you don't care about the noise, messy cleanup or reduced suction then they are perfect! And they seem to sell well, so works for many ppl, just not for me, I cant bag them enough.

  • Have the C3 for pets and can say it is a great little unit. Shame the bags are on the small side. Mine fills up quick with all the dog fur

  • Is there a turbo head that can be fitted to this?
