  • Would be nice if this would be QHD at least but it’s ok if you want a wide screen for an affordable price

  • Still want to sell my 34" FHD

For $50 more ($300) I would much rather a 27" 4k monitor, which will probably have more screen estate vertically and a way higher pixel density. If you specifically need this form factor for some reason, these monitors can be had used for around $100-150 on FB marketplace pretty easily. 29" is just a slightly wider 22-24" monitor at the same 1080p pixel density. Would not recommend but if this is what you want/need, more power to you.

    • I like my 34" 2560 x 1080.

Gives good immersion with the size and width but doesn't take a 4090 to get good frame rates.

      • I used to have a 34" 3440x1440 monitor running on a GTX 1080 and got fine frame rates with that. I don't think anyone needs a 4090, even on a 4k display, just lower some settings. I too enjoyed the immersion factor of an ultra-wide but the spotty media-playback support made me shift back to 16x9

4k at 27" is pretty small unless you apply scaling which deprives you of screen real estate. It would provide a sharper 1440p-like real estate experience though.

Agreed, but that issue does depend on how someone is going to use it. 1080p on a 29" ultrawide already looks quite pixelated to my eyes (I have a spare 29" ultrawide that I've used from time to time), and $250 still seems like way too much money for a fairly basic 60hz IPS panel of that size and resolution, just to get a bit more width
