    I just can't get behind a 1080p 27 inch monitor.

Have you tried sitting in front of it?

Damn, now I know what I've been doing wrong this whole time. SOLD.

behind or front are okay but please dont sit on top

You don't like pixels the size of your finger nail?

    • +1

don't know about others but i wear glasses and generally upsize the text, so 1080 isn't that bad on 27"

  • But thank god for its lowly 1080p FHD resolution, better chance of us getting near the 200fps with all those new graphically-demand and poorly-optimised AAA games. Even with RTX 5090 you couldn't get anywhere near 200fps at 1440p in some games, let alone at 4K.

Optimisations have always been cooked on PC but it’s more apparent now due to heavy reliance on frame generation techniques.

Can't think of many things worse than a 27" with a 1080p res. Maybe a decaf coffee…or comment below!

Kick in the nuts would go close

      • Come on mate you'd really recommend a 27 at 1080p?

        • +2

i think it depends on budget.. not everyone can afford a 4k oled 27 inch…. but for this price and refresh rate its good enuff.

  • Are Dell Monitors much heavier than the other brands such as AOC or HP
    SE2725HG 3.72 kg
    S2721QS 4.7 kg

    • +2

Probably the shipping weight or something, they're all made out of the same cheap plastic mostly.

  • Is AOC 27G4E 27" FHD 05ms IPS 180Hz Adaptive-Sync Gaming Monitor a better option for $160
    https://www.mwave.com.au/product/aoc-27g4e-27-180hz-full-hd-…?

    • Correct me if I'm mistaken but I don't see a single thing that monitor has over this one for an extra $20

  • +4

If you want 1080p I'd recommend the 24" model , much better looking at that size, oh and you're also saving even more

Honestly for another $60 get this:

    • 15% education discount

    • thats the 75hz old model

For those of us with older eyes 27" @ 1080p is great.

Also, I run a small IT Business and this kind of config works well when you're looking at something on a counter for 8hrs/day - think Pharmacies etc. I've tried so many different setups but the dead basic 27" @ 1080p wins every time.

  • 1080p on 27" reminds me of ye good olde VGA monitors….

    QHD/1440p is OK.

So many people complaining about a product that isn't really aimed at them.
This product rocks for my elderly parents. Big pixels for them to see, 200Hz for them to better track an icon they're dragging across the desktop, and best of all it's $123.

  • Got 1 as a sub monitor with edu discount.

    • i dont see anything on edu discount same price for me how much did you pay please ?

      • I paid 117.75. Edu discount was $20 off and not available with code above

  • still waiting for a return of this deal, or a similarly priced 27" with integrated speakers from Dell.

  • There's a ~24inch version for 114 not including edu

  • Bought 2. Honestly, not sure why people complain about 27" FHD being unusable. We have some desks at work with 2 x 27" FHD set up, and obviously they look fine to me…
