    Sold out in brisbane

  • Seems a good price mate. I Bought the S7 a couple of months back for under $500 via ebayplus, it’s brilliant

    • +1

Damn good deal, I got the S7+ auto empty dock for $1090 in December.. it does a great job thankfully.

      • Heyo same. Best $1,000 I've ever spent.

  • +3

Plus the Aldi 60 day satisfaction guarantee! So you can return if not happy!

  • +1

Is it better than the one posted the other day?

    • +2

It is not.. but you won't get that deal again..

      • whynot

        • +2

I think because that coupon code was not supposed to apply for that particular vaccum.. OP said something like that.. and they disabled the use pretty quickly.. so more of a pricing error than a deal

    • +2

Oh crap how did I miss that deal!?!

  • I have this model and happy with it. I dont use mop function

I scored a Deebot 600 DO3G for $12 at my local opshop… Looks almost brand new and works well

    • +20

Nice. I got a 1kg gold ingot for $12.99 last year. Ripper deal.

      • ”Looks almost brand new and works well” is the key.

        • Me fail English? That's unpossible

  • +3

I've had this for the last year. This is identical to the N8 which you can get on sale for the same price. Only issues I have encountered is it loses maps, and then starts a new mapping run, which is annoying. This happens every couple of months.

    • +2

Got an older Deebot; if it's anything like mine the mapping loss probably happens because it drops the network every so often.

    • +1

Same thing happens with ours, can be annoying.

    • +3

Came here to say the same thing. I hope they've updated their app and other software. I returned mine because the mapping was horrific and it constantly got lost. And I couldn't control where it went in the house. It's astounding to me that they don't allow you to map the house once, then lock it as the map. It's not like my house changes that much over time…

      • Wait… So it has to re-map every time?

        • Ours doesn't. Usually we find its good for a few months, then starts having issues where it either gets blocked by something (no idea what) or it can't locate itself. After a re-map, it's fine again for a while. We've sectioned out all the rooms and corridors in our house, so easy enough to send it where we want it to go.

        • +2

It shouldn't have to. But I have along corridor and it never seemed to judge the distance exactly right every time. So it slowly shifts everything to the right. It took about three runs for it to be buggered. It's ridiculous.

And that's before I talk about the issues it has with windows. This is why I don't get why I can't map the house once and lock the map. It would make the most sense…

    • Instructions from support for map recovery

      1. Please remove the machine from the Charging Dock and turn it off, then turn it on again. And then replug the machine with the Charging Dock;
      2. It is recommended that the user stays away from the machine a little to avoid interference. The machine will voice the prompt "map is recovering". After waiting for a while, it will prompt "map recovering succeeded". If map recovery fails, it is recommended that you try several times more.
      3. If the above operation still cannot be restored, it is recommended that you rebuild the map.
Gentle reminder: the map cannot be restored after resetting the map or the machine.
  • We got one a year back. Works well on hardwood, but we've never used the mop. Our rug sheds badly, so it clogs if we don't exclude that area.
Just need to make sure your floors don't have anything for it to tangle in. If it gets turned around at any point it looses direction & the map ends up screwed up. Easy to reset, but a pain regardless

  • This deal has come up a few times. How does it compare against alternatives such as Eufy, Dreame and Roborock? It has been a while since I've looked into this.

    • i think this is once/year only, not sure what do you mean by few times?
But yeah, interesting to see any feedback on better options under $500 from others.

      • Search ozb and you can see it has popped up a few times for this price. Some folks were saying that Eufy had some better deals but it's hard to know how they compare in the long term

  • +3

sorry to say, but this thing really sucks

  • FYI bought this one 1 year ago and very happy with it.

  • What is the mop like? My el-cheapo Samsung is no better than tying a damp cloth to the rear

    • Pretty much the same you need the higher models for those rotating mop heads

  • +2

I have a Ecovac but took ages and multiple reruns to complete its true map and then anytime that the software was updated it lost its maps and then back to the mapping. I've had it for about 2 1/2 years an now the battery is faulty. Because of the mapping frustrations I didn't use it much, so I'm surprised that the battery failed so quick

I happen to be looking for a robot vac on eBay. The Deebot N8 is currently $419 ($999 - $580 coupon) on ECOVACS official store. With eBay gift card cash back, you can probably get it down to $410.

Just sharing this in case you miss out on the Aldi deal.

Picked up the last one at the West Melbourne store, gotta say, first impressions are really solid, easy setup, good noise levels and performance. Excited to put this thing through its paces.

One of the two cats absolutely hates it though, other doesn't even seem phased. Interesting creatures they are.

  • I had one wasnt until it blew up a few weeks later I realised when the cashier said keep the receipt he said it for good reason and that he said it in a certain manner for good reason!

  • How good is this?
