    2D version of Splatoon?

    • That was my first impression.

Online PvP only - not even worth claiming, because it'll die off and there won't be any other players.

They admitted this, not sure how making it paid will get more players

The biggest problem with our game is the lack of players online. The original idea of releasing the game for free was to allow anyone to download and try it out. Being a game you don't have to pay for also seems to include it being a game you don't have to care about.

According to our data from release up to the date of this post, only about 10% of players continued playing past their third match (roughly 10 minutes of playtime), and only about 5% continued past their tenth match (~30 minutes). That means 90% of players who tried the game have played it for less than 10 minutes.

It might be because it's not very good? Just a throught…

        • I mean, you paint you enemies and.. yeah nah. I have far too many free games to deal with. I don't want to paint random people.

        • hmm, graphics don't look attractive…

I tried it a couple of times today and earlier there was barely anyone playing, and just now there was enough for matches. Played a few FFA matches which were fine. Didn't really grab me and make me want to play it for a while though. Its pretty much splatoon. You can kill people with paint, cover an area with your colour, and you get bonuses for doing each at scoring at the end. There's also daily challenges and goals to achieve. You get a currency you can spend in the shop to get hats, hair, clothing etc. Right now they have microtransactions via "buckets" and also a VIP package to get VIP items, but those are apparently going away in october when they switch to paid.
