  • Westpac is smashing these cashback deals but i haven't seen any westpac credit card deals

  • +1

Note they didn’t honour the last 15% coles deal for me, among other things. (I got 3% instead.)

    • What was the reason?

      • Not sure, waiting for response. Presumably it was picked up the next day?

        • They usually give me the entitled after i enquired. Good luck.

    • +2

Me neither. I contacted them regarding the bonus cashback and they said that the 15% bonus was only for New, Coles Plus and non Coles Plus number- which was not specified

      • That’s good to know. Westpac bonus weren’t limited to new customers as far as I was able to read. It’s pretty dodge to slide that in later.

      • Hey mate, the base rate at 15% was for new users only, but the 15% Bonus rate as part of the Westpac Lounge is available to new and old. Sounds like the person you spoke to had their wires crossed.

    • Same boat, new customer, so I expected 15% via shopback (which I got) and 15% via westpac (which I got 3%).
Awaiting Shopbacks response, it was delivered 5 days later, but order lodged on the Wednesday, not sure how that impacts.

    • I am a Coles Plus member and I got 3% instead. I purchased an online order for delivery the next day. Coles Online only packed and charged me the following day. I’ll have to contact Shopback regarding that.

    • It almost looks like @gotyourback would want to jump in and sort this out, since it’s not an isolated case.

  • There is also a menulog offer which is quite good.

  • +1

And bonus $5 cashback if you buy Coles gift card worth $100 or more

    • Unfortunately, Coles gift card is not accepted online.

  • +1

The chemist warehouse one is per transaction cap instead of per member right?

  • Just to confirm, we won't get the bonus cashback by using linked Westpac card in store, correct? only online?

    • probably order online and then pickup in store

      • yea will do that, though some in store items doesn't show on the website :(

  • Anyone else stupidly buy their hoyts tickets via apple pay, with the linked westpac card? tracked my 1% cashback, but hasn't noted I have achieved the challenge, apparently could take two weeks if you use Apple Pay

    • @gotyourback is there any update on using PayPal for Westpac bonus?

      • +1

Purchases made using online payment methods such as PayPal, where ShopBack is not able to identify whether an eligible card was used at the merchant checkout, will not qualify for Westpac bonus Cashback (even where an eligible card is linked e.g. to the PayPal account).

      • +1

PayPal in it's nature obscures the card information when purchasing, so there's no way for us to track the use of the Westpac card when using PayPal. The transaction on your card will be labelled at a PayPal transaction, and not with the merchant, and then there's no way for us to see the card info from PayPal's end, so unfortunately this isn't likely to change in future. Definitely recommend using the card directly where you can for the best tracking results.

        • Thanks, makes sense. So its never going to work with paypal.

  • Do I need to be a new Coles customer to qualify for the 15%? Or is using a westpac card sufficient?

    • Using Westpac card is sufficient to get the bonus cashback

  • I contacted shopback via the desktop and after showing proof of purchase on westpac and order details they credited shopback for last week. So an extra 20 dollars on 146 final order value

  • Just to confirm, the Chemist Warehouse one is capped amount per transaction right? But can do as many transactions as you want?

    • +4

just did 2 trans and can confirm its per transaction

    • @gotyourback - could you please help to confirm? thanks in advance

      • Yep, sorry for late reply but yeah unless specified otherwise our caps are always per transaction - just remember to exit the store and click through again from ShopBack to redeem.

  • 15% cashback is only for new Coles customers. For existing customers it's 1%.

  • Is there any Westpac debit/credit card that has no monthly/annual fee?

  • Does anyone know if i'll get 15% standard cashback + 15% westpac bonus if im already a coles customer but not a coles plus customer…and I sign up to plus? Trying to decypher the terms on shopback site, says "New Coles Customer (Coles Plus and Non Coles Plus Member)" get 15%, does joining plus 'reset' my status to new customer?

    • Update, i signed up to coles plus on the month trial to test…didnt work. I got 0.5% cashback as an existing customer, not even the 1% given to coles plus customers. I do however have a separate cashback pending for the westpac 15%

    • +1

Sorry I didn't see this earlier mate, yeah that term refers to any user that hasn't shopped online at Coles before, whether they sign up to Coles Plus or not. "New" customer on any website will be assessed based on whether the store has a purchase on file for your details previously, based on email, phone number, etc.

      • Thanks for the info, im still happy to get the bonus 15%. Worked out ok in the end

  • The credit card option on chemist warehouse hasn't been loading for me all day, anyone else have the same issue? Can we use paypal with a westpac card yet or will that still not track?

    • +1

Chemistwarehouse..listed under westpac lounge shows 20% for me

    • +1

Are you sure you are looking at westpac lounge, searching the store on shopback app will only show 1% until you look under the westpac lounge

        • It will track twice: the 1% will show up first then the 20% will show up after.

Also, the cashback is tracked on the value of each item on the transaction and not the total of the transaction itself with the cap being the total of the individual bonus cashback values.

            • @dauoz: You wont see the cashback until after you've checked out and purchased/paid for the items.

The 20% is on all items except for presciption and Schedule 3 medication and those on priority order.

https://www.shopback.com.au/chemist-warehouse (look on the left side under Dos and Donts)

            • @dauoz: from memory i think you will get 2 transactions listed for each item you purchase, one for 1% and another for 20%….21% total It;s just that chemist warehouse reports each individual item you purchase back to shopback, rather than the total checout amount.

  • Hmm made a $68.80 purchase on chemist and seems like it didn't track. Anyone else have problem with chemist not tracking? Already followed the guidelines in the dos and don'ts section in shopback.
