  • How can I get to this link through cashrewards?

    • +2

After clicking through you can go to SuperDeals on the homepage and try to find it. Otherwise no real easy way.

      • +2

        it tracked $7.17, thanks!

    • tried multiple times and it is always saying this product do not shop to australia

      • +1

Well yeah the deal is marked as out of stock ;)

        • Too bad… they probably only have few stocks to start with since it is way to cheap to get for that price. Might be a bait 😂

          • +1

@Cheryhello: There was 10pcs for the individual camera and the same for the 2 pack, which is why I said to be quick in the deal. It may restock around 5-6pm but no guarantee. I'll certainly comment if I see it restock.

            • @Clear: How do you know theyll restock at that time ?

              • @zorodluffy: 12am PT is when AliExpress refresh their promotions. Sometimes this includes these.

  • +10

Cheaparse reolink tip: if you are technically inclined, buy the “add on cameras” ($35 ish) and use this project https://github.com/QuantumEntangledAndy/neolink to convert the stream to rtsp.

    Half the price :))

    • Can I use Google Assistant with my add-on cams?

It is crazy that you have to go through extra steps and reolink should just support everything on their add-on cams by default.

      • +2

You can, I have an RLC-811A at my front door. The 2-way mic allows you interact with people at the door, however my criticism is the lag. It can fall behind very quickly and after 5 minutes of steaming, I'm finding I could be the best part of a minute out. This might have something to do with the NVR, connected to Reolink and then coming back through Google. Would be ideal if it could stream locally rather than all the hopping through servers.

        • Thanks, will have a play with it :)

        • What NVR do you have? How many channels?

          • @vinni9284: I have the Reolink RLN8-410 8 Channel NVR

            • @troyboy: I though so. Not too much into google assistant and therefore need to research. I assume it works well directly via the app when you receive notifications and can speak two way with no lag?

        • If you’re in the iOS ecosystem, try Scrypted and add your camera through ONVIF. Will go fully local and 2way audio works with notifs through Apple HomeKit

    • Know where I can get some RLC-1224A add-on cams cheap? I think that the add-on cams are RLC-1220A.

    • Where can I find these “add on cameras”? Do you have a link?

      • EBay their official store

  • Legend!

  • Is the RLC-510WA out of stock - saying "This product can't be shipped to your address" but can't see any indicator of stock quantity anywhere?

    • +1

Stock quantity is seen through the SuperDeals section of the desktop site or app. Not on the individual listing. It may restock randomly throughout the day/week. Often around 5-6pm.

      • Thanks - haven't really used AliExpress before.

Looks like the single RLC-811A has also gone OoS now as I waited too long!

  • +1

Damn I've purchased multiple crappy ones because I can't afford these ones, and there they are with such good price.

    • +2

I know the pain. I'm in the Dahua ecosystem and thinking I should switch to Reolink with these prices.

      • I have the EOL Arlo cams with the free 7 day cloud storage….. so I'm thinking I better start collecting Reolink to have a system ready to go before Arlo discontinues the 7 day storage which I expect is just a matter of time now. Just hoping a Reolink system will work as flawlessly as my Arlo system - beyond needing to charge cam batteries every few months.

I was tossing up between Reolink & Eufy - but just worried Eufy will become another Arlo and make you pay, so thinking it's best to go with the DIY NVR solution.

  • Thanks OP - was going to buy another 820A soon, but this is a great deal for a better camera!

  • Individual cameras sold out but the 2pack for US$110.87 (~A$173.80) is available. OzBargain store glitch is preventing me from updating deal.

    • plus tax isn't it or is that anyway get away from the tax?

      • AU Stock so no GST added.

        • The 2 pack is coming from China and has tax added.

          • @saminn: The deal is marked as out of stock and was for the AU warehouse. alvian just updated the main link to the discount link.

            • @Clear: I have ordered and am telling based on the the confirmation.

              • @saminn: If you had clicked through the main link and not the one in the description that would make sense.

                • @Clear: Can confirm I used the one in description and was charged 193 including tax else it would have been much more ~330 ish. Still it's cheaper, so thank you.

  • +1

    Got a 2-pack, thanks.

  • How do these compare to the Eufy

    • Eufy is a wifi setup and runs on batteries. These ones are wired to usually an NVR or POE switch

  • Can’t be shipped to Sydney.

    • +1

I think that's the OoS indication

      • That explains it.

  • +1

This product can't be shipped to your location

  • I bought two RLC-1212A a few months ago and they are woeful when it comes to streaming outside of the local network. Even with a 15Mbps upload and a medium quality stream it's almost impossible to look at a live stream or to bring up recordings.

    • Are you using an NVR or POE switch?

      • No they're just streaming straight out of the cameras off the memory card. I have a feeling the camera struggles with the transcoding but admittedly I'm not an expert.

  • Are Reolink cameras like these easy to setup with roll-your-own DVR solutions on linux/docker images?

  • Think they up again. No need for a camera. Well, looking for a rtsp one. Don’t think this can do that.

  • Reolink's service is pretty good. I bought two 811As a couple of months ago, and one of them had a "Spotlight is not supported" error right after being plugged in. After sending them screenshots of the error and the firmware number, they didn't hesitate but offered a free replacement. However, before they shipped it, I managed to fix the issue by hard resetting the camera.

    • What did you use to power them?

      • +1

I bought their NVR RLN8-410 separately in another deal.

        • +1

I wonder if you can run all 8 x 8MP cameras at the same time as i've heard that NVR has limitations of bandwidth and need to upgrade to 16 channel. Do you have 8 x 8MP cameras connected to it? Are you happy with it as i'm about to take the plunge. Cheers

  • Strange cant ship to australia.

    • +1

in prev deals like this the 'cant ship to AU' msg indicated that the stock of that item at the deal $ was not available - later, if stock replenishes, you'll be able to ship to AU again.

      • I got the same message cant ship to my address when it was out of stock, checked the next day and was able to "buy now" and got myself a set.

    • +1

The deal has been marked out of stock for nearly 24 hours…

  • Ahh okay .. Thanks .. any other options for outdoor camera. I was looking to buy but now its gone :(

  • All 3 back in stock. Let's see how long they last.

    • Tried it through the link for the RLC-811A. It still shows it as unable to ship to address?

      • Last about 3 minutes then.

        • Thanks for posting it anyway - did you spot the restock randomly by manually checking, or is there a way of setting up alerts, etc?

          • +1

@theMoebius: Randomly checking. Seems the Reolink RLC-520A is the only one left with stock for the moment.

    • bummer, missed again :)

  • +4

    back in stock

    • Thank you so much! I just ordered it, I’ve been tracking this constantly for the past few days.

    • great work, thanks - got the 2pack for ~$170

      • I was going to order the 2 pack but that seemed to be delivered from China and added import tax, so 1 pack locally delivered might be slightly cheaper

    • Thanks - finally got the 811A I was after plus a 510W

  • hey guys, im new to security cameras i got a set of this deal and now looking at getting an NVR, checked some on ebay and looking at the ANNKE 4K 8MP 8 Channel NVR POE.
    any good?
    any recommendations on a NVR?

    thanks.

    • I am just going to try POE+ router with SDcard recording.

  • Has anyone else had their orders knocked back due to "no stock"? I claim BS.

    • sorry to hear that :(
my 2x RLC-811A are on board for delivery today (ordered on 16/9). Surprised it was that fast .. !

      • Ordered same day X 4 cameras. All no stock, but looking at the website they have plenty of stock. offered an 833a in replacement.

    • Nope - my 1 x 811A and 1 x 510W are scheduled for delivery in the next few days according to AusPost.

Reolink seem to sell via multiple channels (e.g. own website, Amazon, AliExpress, eBay) and each have slightly different pricing, so presumably they allocate certain stock to each?

When you say 'website has plenty of stock' are you referring to AliExpress?

The 833A they're offering you in replacement is a more expensive (RRP) camera from what I can tell, so not sure they'd do that unless they absolutely had to?

      • Correct, clicking back through the link at the top, there's 251 cameras available on the aliexpress website.

        • These deals have been AU stock and what you'd be seeing is CN stock. Their statement saying they've ran out of local stock is probably true. Like eBay they probably don't want to make the listing OOS so it won't lose its position.

Seems like a good alternative they're offering though.

  • Mine arrived today, to TAS. Pretty fast must have been local stock. What a beast! All the features work without the NVR. I was worried about that.

The zoom is lens which is great.

I have an old 12v power adapter to test, but i will use a POE+ router when that arrives. This

  • EDIT - this seller has no feedback, probably risky, buy at own risk like me :(

For anyone that missed out on this deal, here is a similar price on AliExpress from a different seller:

    1 for AU$80.75
    2 for AU$155.22
    https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005006137739315.html

    • Thanks. Ordered one. See how it goes with no reviews. Gotta start somewhere ;)

      • Worst scenario is to organize refund from AliExpress.

        • It’s shipped. See if it is a camera when get it :/

          • @Mikael: @awelch the camera was delivered today and signed for. BUT in Sydney and not in perth where I live???
Damn. You got yours or any updates?
Just open a dispute. Messaged seller and see. Arghh.

            • @Mikael: Now shop doesn’t exist. See what Ali does.

            • @Mikael: I decided to cancel my order and get a refund because I was nervous about the seller. Sorry you got stung mate. I'm sure Ali will have you covered.

              • @awelch: See what happens. Sometime deals just a bit too good. And sometime just a new legitimate shop. And in this case a scam shop. All good though. In dispute process.
If you go to shop again you see shop doesn’t exist anymore.
