    Is this good for year 4-6 kids (9-12 year olds) for a few years?
    Or would you go for the $380 model?

      It's perfect for that, only consideration is that touch screens are more fragile than non-touch and they cost a lot to replace - if your kids are prone to breaking things, best to go with non-touch.

        You sure? Touch screens do cost more to replace, but they have a protective capacitive touch film, which is thicker than the regular film on normal displays. You know how if you touch a normal monitor, they'd go distorted and wavy? My X1 gen6's touch screen doesn't do that. Nor should your smartphone.

          Touch screens are glass, which cracks. Non-touch are plastic, just scratches.

        Would you go the i7 for 380 16gb or the i5 8gb for 335.

        I'd say the i7 would be worth it for 45 more?

          plus the RAM is 16.
          just buying ram could be $35 on amazon so you get the extra cpu speed plus labor to install the ram. make sense
