  • pretty decent price, but $80 delivery
    ouch!

wouldnt mind one for a server machine or something

  • If you want to pay with pay pal, they have an offer on at the moment for free shipping.
However, I beleive that it states "this coupon code is excluding “Computer & IT” and limited to one order per customer."

So it probably wont work, But maybe worth trying it, just incase:
"Free shipping @ Shopping Square for orders over $75 - use code “C35747”."

EDIT: I just tried it and it brings the shipping price down to $49. But then it takes off the promotional offer of the unit for $299, and prices the PC at $399.

    So if you use coupon its 399 + 49 = $448

    or if you dont use coupon: 299 + 79 = $378.

So best to not use coupon :(

    • Wow, that's ridiculous. Email Shopping Square!

    • LOL the hell? so weird
      but honestly, stop tempting me!

price breakdown for NSW. found the lowest price parts that matched the vague descriptions (not including shipping for individual stores/parts)

      $71 AMD AM2 Athlon 64 X2 4200+
      $20 1GB DDR2 RAM
$77 Maxtor 500GB SATA II HDD
$30 LG BLACK SATA 22X DVD-RW DUAL LAYER
$75 Foxconn A6VMX AM2+/AM2 AMD 690V Micro ATX AMD Motherboard (with 5.1 channel)

      $273

although these are some pretty scummy parts (ie. maxtor hdd, foxconn motherboard) and not typically brands i'd go with.
also, the shipping of individual items would end up being more than $300.

      • Seems you forgot to add a case..

That being said, I'm pretty sure, the fact none of the parts are listed, probably indicates that the parts you chose are of similar quality.

        • doh!

        • And a power supply, and maybe some small things such as a network card.

          • @fenerli: hmm power supply would come with case, and NIC would probably be included with the motherboard

  • -1

    Don't bother .. $80 delivery is robbery.

  • Negative for delivery.

  • Sorry we unable to confirm at this stage as the technician assemble based on randomly motherboard that he have for those orders

If you prefer specify model of motherboard, please add item by items into cart

For the system package, you can add additional item into the package, but you cannot change anything that is already inside the package. This is a pre-designed package and unfortunately at the moment we cannot allow to change the things inside. If you wish to custom make your own system, the step is to add all the items you need into the shopping cart, and finally add the system assembling in the link below
    http://www.shoppingsquare.com.au/p_908_PC_System_Assembling_…

finally, add your post code to check the final price with postage.

Once we receive an order with system assembling, we will take it as a system and build the items together with it.

    regards

    No sale from me

  • 1Gig of ram? Thats pathetic. Won't even run Vista. In fact it will barely run XP. Then theres the shipping cost……………..

    • I've got a Via C3 800mhz with 256mb ram running XP SP3 and it is more than usable. You don't need more than 1gb for the kinds of things this box will end up doing. $20 to add another gig isn't much anyway.

Too bad the shipping kills the deal here :(

    • my gf's comp runs xp with 1gb of ram no problems
just really depends on what ur doing with it

    • You're joking, right? My brother plays Far Cry on Windows Vista with 1GB RAM and an x2 3800 (939). He has a measly 120GB ATA HDD and the machine runs Vista perfectly well.

Unless you're doing serious number crunching, 1GB is adequate for Vista and XP. 2GB is very cheap though, $38 a pop at the moment.

    • That's why it does not come with Windows Vista :)

Stick a Xubuntu distro in and this box can go a looooong way.

  • It's a shame there is no pickup and sydney delivery is $79

  • i think at $380 delivered its still a bargain. chuck in a decent video card, 22" Monitor, Keyboard/Mouse, ant 1Gb RAM and for around $790 you have yourself a pretty capable system.

  • YAWN
    Dell Vostro 220s
    $649 Delivered

  • But paypal is shit and troublesome, even though the deal is okay. I'd strongly avoid paypal.
