Below is an equivalent and cheaper option, and includes 3 protectors. Installed recently and very happy with it:

    https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B0BGHYQCND?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_s…

    • Thanks! too bad I pulled the pin early. will check back if its not worth the extra 40 bucks

You should buy a Monster USB C cable for $150.
Goes well with this $116.28 screen protector.

      • yeah the no name brand Ni-Shen with 12 months history is known for their exquisite physics defying tempered glass the likes of which the engineers at corning glass have never seen before

theyre probably gunna fuse this magical $40 glass into every iphone in the future

    • The problem with generic screen protector from Amazon comparing to Whitestone Dome Glass version, is, in my experience, the UV LOCA glue (the sticky glue) that helps it stick to your phone screen, is the generic ones are weaker compared to Whitestone. I installed one for my S23 Ultra and it just peels off on a smaller scale after a week later and got worse over time. Whitestone are very precisely made and has proper jig to fail proof installation.

      • I've never had any issue with much cheap generics. Even if true that the glue is weaker I have never had one peel off. The jig is helpful but a generic on the amazon works just aswell. That's my experience with generic ones, so I never needed to try Whitedome.

Valid point. But the one I linked above is on my P7Pro for the last 3 months and so far so good. No lifting even with using a case. In worst case, I still have 2 as back up to replace.

    • Is there one for a pixel 7 (none pro) I looked and can't see

      • Pixel 7 has flat screen, so any glass screen protector will work good. I applied the below one on my son’s Pixel 7 and it works perfectly fine:

JETech Screen Protector for Google Pixel 7, Tempered Glass Film with Easy Installation Tool, Fingerprint Compatible, HD Clear, 3-Pack https://amzn.asia/d/1T3QUXx

Having owned a Pixel 6 Pro and Huawei Mate 20 Pro prior to that, I switched to a Pixel 7 purely because the screen is so much easier to protect (also the size is so much better in the hand). These UV glue protectors are a pain to apply and remove, make a mess and risk getting UV glue into the speakers. The ones for the Pixel 7 take less than a minute with no issues.

Hoping that Google gives up on the curved screen fad and returns the Pixel 8 Pro to a flat screen.

Hoping that Google gives up on the curved screen fad and returns the Pixel 8 Pro to a flat screen.

That's what the rumours suggest. Both Pro and non Pro versions should have flat screens this year.

    • I wouldn't say that one is equivalent to whitestone dome.

A lot of people have tried these clones and all go back to whitestone, plenty of reviews on whirlpool.

      • Its a no brainer to spend almost 20% of the phone price (of Pixel 7/7Pro) just on the screen protector.

      • I've installed this on my Pixel 7 pro and no issues, I've also had other generic much cheaper back in the day on my S10 and no issues.
There are plenty of bad reviews for Whitedome aswell.
It really comes down to the cost, If you were in the US whitedome would be similarly price to the amazon one at $40 which makes it much more reasonable. But at over $100 Gtfo. Everything in the Whitedome set is pretty generic other then the jig.

    • is this very hard to remove once it's on?

      • Peels right off

      • No. Simply peel off the protector and clean the glue. Cleans without any residue

    • Agree. Have been using mine for over 6 months.

    • yep, this is the one I use on my p7p, it's like there's no screen protector on at all, didn't have to adjust sensitivity or anything. Pretty scary to put on tho.

  • +2

Shipping cost just as much as the product, since it's coming from US.

Cheaper from the Whitestone Australia eBay Store for $89 + $7 Delivery

Had a Whitestone Dome protector for my
Google Pixel 2 XL, it was the best screen protector I had ever used.

Edge to edge coverage even on a curved screen. Curing process means zero bubbles. Durability was good too.

Phone is now retired as a Wi-Fi hotspot in my car, with the Dome protector still intact.

    • Can confirm on the quality of Whitestone Dome Glass, had it on my Note8 and Note20 Ultra and planning to get it for the S23 Ultra.

    • at least it seems like they are pretty good quality

  • +24

$120 for a screen protector, ya got to be kidding!?

    • It's 2 Screen Protector, but ye Whitestone Dome Glass are expensive.

Previously there wasn't many option for a curved tempered glass full screen protector, but now there's quite a few options (such as the one usmanhafeez2000 linked above)

      • youre joking right

been using curved android phones since launch

theyve been around since day 1 for about $10 or less

and before you say yumcha brands

tempered glass is tempered glass with diminishing returns. The only real difference is material composition and for the application of phone protection it will have to be extremely niche scenarios where the products would make material difference

if you drop it out of a plane, whitestone aint gunna do sh!t to protect it

if you drop it from chest height. whitestone glass isnt going to magically defy the laws of physics and offer more protection

        • My first 'curved' screen phone was the Note8 (was actually the S7, but just used a flat tempered glass that didn't cover the edge), and at that time it was difficult to find a proper full screen tempered glass. There was plenty of options with just the edge sticking screen protector or one with doesn't cover the curved part of the screen. Nowadays, there's plenty of options that are more cheaper and readily available.

The main benefit of the tempered glass was just to add another layer of protection for the screen. I've dropped that Note8 from waist high numerous time and the screen proctector is still intact to this day (just has a bunch of scratches on it over the years).

          • @RichardL: ontop of this there were tempered glass variants that didnt quite go to the edge because certain cases had lips that layed over the edge for added protection

either way theres no need to buy $70 screen protectors and has never been a need to use whitstone snakeoil

    • Came here to say the same.

      • Came here three say the same

          Came here four the same

it better be bulletproof for this kind of price!!!

  • +6

    is this a joke?

    • +1

Unfortunately phones with rounded edges don't have many good options for screen protectors.

      • I use hydrogel protectors on my P7P. Like $5 a pop, if that.

        • Often though, and speaking from experience, people coming from a flat screened phone have gotten use to tempered glass and prefer this as it feels just like the original screen. It's impossible to get anything that is glass to stick to the rounded display on phones like this. You end up with bubbles and lifting.

        • +1

Yep hydrogel all the way , don't scratch like tempered glass ones , screen colour looks better too

  • +3

Cost more than the phone after jb credit

  • +3

It's one of those things where it's only like $30 in the US but $120 for us.

  • This would be one of the most expensive screen protectors I have ever come across.

  • Im pretty sure I bought this for about 90 for 2 screen protectors when it first came out (for pixel 7 pro)

    • I did too but had finally forgotten about it up until now — thanks for reopening that wound 😭 Both my phone and my wife's now have small cracks in them from drops. Fair to say I won't be rushing to replace them any time soon!!

  • I purchased mine through here:

    https://www.mobilezap.com.au/whitestone-dome-glass-2-pack-sc… $71.49 + $6.99 Delivery

    Cheaper and it's legit.

  • Well done WD. They charge less than %10 from those who pay over $1000 for a phone. Congratulation!

  • -1

imagine buying a tempered glass screen protector for your gorilla glass phone screen

    • Imagine not having a screen protector and dropping your phone and it cracks

      • I have never cracked any of my phones over the last 10 years

        • +1

It's like how the superannuation disclaimer goes: past performance is not an indicator of future performance.

    • -1

Thats one of the worst takes I've heard
Don't get me wrong its a dumb product because of the price but that doesn't mean a screen protector should be omitted entirely.

      • there is no need for anything but a tpu screen protector ( to protect from small scratches). This will not protect your phone. if you drop your phone enough for it to shatter it will shatter. Tempered glass is literally placebo, let alone for 100+ dollars.

  • +3

neg me all you want. 116 for a useless screen protector is insane, this is not a bargain.

  • +2

I don't generally neg deals, but there's no possible way that this is good value, let alone a bargain.

It's also making incorrect claims about "liquid glass".

  • Just had a new pixel 7 pro rock up and applied one of these cheap curved UV cured glue protectors, 2 pack for $16.99, works great. Got one in reserve too and two camera protectors included 👍
Limited-time deal: AsBellt 2pcs Screen Protector for Google Pixel 7 Pro (UV Glue) Tempered Glass + 2pcs Camera Lens Protector for Pixel 7 Pro 5G Support Fingerprint Reader Case Friendly (Clear) https://amzn.asia/d/djj9VpU

    • hows the touch sensitivity?

      • I didn't even use the phone before I put it on, feels the same as the pixel 6 pro it replaced, that didn't even have a screen protector. Fingerprint works fine too, about as good as the pixel one did. I just wanted glass because the flexible ones ruin the feel and if you don't get a curved tempered glass the flat ones don't cover much of the edges

  • Sorry OP, but you can get it off Whitestone's eBay store for $96AUD delivered
