  • do these ones blow up?

    • Zyron Tech are Australia based with great customer support. The rep is pretty active on OzBargain too.

The Charger is also RCM + C-Tick Certified Safe.

      • +1

The Charger is also RCM + C-Tick Certified Safe.

Heymix is also RCM certified (which replaced A-Tick and C-Tick). Apparently it means sh*t:

        https://www.amazon.com.au/dp/B09MSD2L2W :

        【Safe & Reliable】SAA and RCM approve [sic].

        From customer reviews:

Always Very very hot, luckily no flame came out

        Another one:

C outlet over heating without load present.

        • +1

I wonder if Heymix actually has those certifications or just falsely advertising it. Certifications below.

          • +2

@RichardL: Now that we've started to assume intentions, how do we know Zyron's marks are authentic?

I believe they are made in similar (the same?) factories in China and there is little to no difference in QA, whether the marks are authentic or not.

            • @bio: Maybe the rep @ibelievesyd can confirm.

              • +1

@RichardL: So according to EESS Database that the rep linked, Heymix PD652CA is actually certified too:

                https://equipment.erac.gov.au/Public/Profiles.aspx?Applicati…

                • +3

@bio: I just dug out my Heymix Charger (PD65AC) from this deal, and can confirm the Certificate Number on the box matches the EESS database (GMA-508906-EA).

I was wrong to assume that Heymix Certification was falsified.

                  • @RichardL: That's a sample set of one.

There are many products from different OEMs sold under the Heymix brand by about 6 different sellers.

            • +9

@bio: For authenticity please refer EESS Database

This is a public database of all products that are certified to Australian standards. Any claims, whether from us or others must match the EESS database.

The best way to lookup is to search the model number, like ZY-WC-65W for our Powastone 65W. Then match the specifications of each port for authenticity. Here Heincro owns the certificate rights which are being transferred to Zyron as well. You will see our brand name in that certificate in a few weeks. We own certificates for quite a few models ourselves which can be looked up by searching Trade name "Zyron"

Some sellers do take unfair advantage by using random certificates like this one: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/14275325/redir

That's how you can differentiate between authentic and fake claims.

In regards to the quality issue even after the certification is completely up to the brand on how they deal with it.

              • @ibelievesyd: Thanks for the clarification! Very insightful.

        • Heymix is also RCM certified (which replaced A-Tick and C-Tick). Apparently it means sh*t:

Very true. I am now more skeptical of these certifications for white-branded products on Amazon, Aliexpress, eBay, etc.

      • +1 for Zyron. charger died a year in and they just gave a straight refund, couldnt’ve been easier

    • hey bro, dont mix brands name…

      There i gave you hint

      • I think you got downvoted for using italics instead of bold which is the OzB way

        • yeah i used * i thought would be the same as in whatsapp to make the word bold

  • I have the other 65w one with interchangeable heads. no problems …so far

    • +1

I have been using this same charger for 1.5 years, across Europe, South pacific and SE Asia. Works great.

      • thats why i got it. for my next holiday. Looking fwd to taking this little charger over my stock multiple bulky chargers!

  • +1

the other one with interchangeable heads (looks like it comes with it in this listing) is $46.74 right now: https://www.amazon.com.au/gp/product/B093SXMCVB/

    • That's the old model with an older GaN Chipset. Also cheaper directly from their site - $44.99 Delivered

The new model with the GaN 3 Chip is currently on pre-order

      • oh nice! new one is $59.99, maybe black friday they might go cheaper? lol

        • Unlikely based on Rep's Comment

          • +1

@RichardL: ahhh :( oh wells, honestly have enough GaN chargers anyways hahaha

        • whats changed? it actually looks like old one is smaller

  • +1

These are among the best I have ever used. So practical and they do not heat up. Very reliable. I'll gladly grab more

  • Love all my Zyron chargers, (touch wood) they have been rock solid so far.
    Rep is also great.

I wish these were their travel chargers though, the travel variants are currently in pre-order and available via their website directly.

  • +1

Coming up as 44.95 for me, no coupon

    • Looks like the fun is over lol. Back to same price as their own site

  • Are there any other chargers that also support PPS 3.3-11V 5A (for Samsung Super Fast Charging 2.0)?

    • I believe the Anker GanPrime and the UGreen Nexode also supports 45W Samsung Super Fast Charging 2.0.

    • Our Powastone 100W GaN 3 can do

  • -4

I want to trust you all, but to me it just looks like a rebadged HeyMix. I'd love to buy one, but do not want to make another HeyMix mistake.

  • +1

Got one of these. Can run very hot and turn itself off.

  • I have this exact one in my laptop bag. Used multiple times per week charging the laptop and Pixel. No issues after perhaps two years of use. It's a good price.

Mine only gets warm when charging the laptop and phone at the same time.

I have other travel chargers from Zyron also with no issue so far. To be honest they are my go-to brand (only when there is a deal!). My son used their 65W travel charger in the USA for four months, also no issue.
